i had the same rust spot in the trunk of my '66 coupe what i did was removed the gas tank cut the rust spot away(around tank mounting area) and weld 18ga. mild steel plate in its place and mount the gas tank from the bottom
i used lincoln welder wire feed mig welding that into your regular...

wicked93gs, how is your build up of DOHC comin' along? i was planning of doing the same w/ my '66 coupe w/ engine and drivetrain out of '98 running cobra(daily driver).
what ifs kit did you get?
do you have to do any cuting on tranny tunnel in order to run t-45?

i made my mounting bracket from 16ga.plate 4x12.5 weld L bracket on the back plate and used an existing holes from the heater motor.

that's not a bad idea at all, i have welding machine i think i can weld and i know where i can get steel tubing:D.is there a sites that show you how to build one?
long story short, my cobra won't start checked ground battery cable, fuel pump prime okay and check spark at plugs nothing so what can it be and what do i have check for next:shrug:

interesting subject...i have 351c boss sitting in my garage someday it will end up in a '66 coupe (currently with 306 w/ t-5) couples of questions for ya:
1) will t-56 bolt up to 351c?
2) what years and model is the t56 out off?
3) what about flywheel,harmonic balancer?
