Gas Tank filling - are all years difficult?

Unlike modern cars, we have to pump gas. I find I have minimal problems if I hold the nozzle at a 90 to the bumper (as opposed to down). New cars have the filler angled almost straight up and work unattended.

    Running Rich Or ?

The smell you have is unburnt hydrocarbons, caused by the performance cam. New cars don't have that smell because catalytic converters get rid of the smell. If you really think the car is too rich you can confirm it buy adding in one of those temporary Fuel Air ratio meters. The NKG piece...

Type of Nail Gun for MDF Console / Speaker box?

If your cuts are straight and the pieces fit properly, all the screws/nails do is hold it together while the glue is drying. Glue holds the box together.

    Suspension Confusion

All of these cars eventually tear the spotwelds loose on the shocktowers. Mine was so bad, I had to pull my engine and temporarily add a portapower so I could spread the shocktowers back. I literally had a 3/8" gap on the passenger side. DS was closer to 1/8" but it still needed help.

Crate Engine Builder wants me to go F.A.S.T. EFI over Mass-Flo . . .

My opinion is strictly anecdotal, but it sure seems like I’ve seen dozens of Mass-Flo stories on the internet of “I can’t get my car to run right”. There’s a couple of guys who’ve posted on Mustang Steve’s board who’ve installed the Mass-Flo system and NEVER got their cars to run correctly...

    Hood Hinge Problems

It's the only billet piece on my car, except for the pieces I made. I don't have it for bling, Ring Bros. built them because they were disgusted with the quality of repro hinges. After having the hood not close consistantly for the past 20 years it's a nice change of pace.

1969 Mustang Paint and body work pricing help

I hate these sort of threads. There is no half way on one of these cars. You want a decent driver paint job for $1000 that will last a couple of years? Take the trim off yourself and have one of those Earl Schieb or One Day places do it. You want a decent driver paint job for less...

    Hood Hinge Problems

I feel your pain. The repro hinges suck so bad I gave up and got my wallet out - and bought the ring bros. pieces. My hood now closes consistantly and without "walking" side to side. I have heard of people rebushing the stock hinges but personally I've never seen it done successfully. In...

    t5 shifter handle

The correct Hurst Part Number you want for your '69 is 5384106. It is a little tall and a little too far back for my '65, but it's what Modern Driveline recomends for the '69-70 cars.

    Better braking power?

I'm thinking you have something wrong with your brake setup, either in the master, or the rears. Baer Aftermarket Brakes - Hot Rod Magazine I have this same setup on my car (except I used the Mustang Steve kit). It uses the same calipers and sized rotors and master cylinder that baer...

    ’67 Front Valance Mod

Not to hyjack this, but it seems like front plate enforcement comes and goes in fits. I haven't had a front plate since 1987 on anything I own. My wife got a parking ticket in Culver City - not for being illegally parked, but for having no front tag. Ohwell.

    Intake heater hose fitting size

You cannot just ditch the stock elbow. It has a restrictor inside of it and will nuke a heater core with a single pass over 3000 RPMs. Somebody ask me how I know this.
