    removing rear quarter trim peice?

I'm not that famliar with the stang yet but in general some gentle but firm prying will do the trick or at least allow you to get a better look at the problem. A plastic blade is an awsome tool.

How big a tire can you fit on a II?

Blue coyote> Can you do me a favour? Take a look and see if the wheels are closer to the leaf springs than to the inner wall? If so, how much? Everything is cut out on my car and I'm having a hard time seeing if the springs stick out or not.

How big a tire can you fit on a II?

I got the new fenders yesterday and I'm down with a cold right now. As soon as I get better I'll start cutting... I guess I should be placing my order for the wheelwright pretty soon. And the fender roling tool and a Tig welder and...

How big a tire can you fit on a II?

Power Surge> Yeah, I read it. Everyone is talking about stock cars. Since I plan on minitubbing, rolling the fenders and possibly relocating the rear spring mount none of the standard rules apply. itsamustangtoo> I was thinking of getting that tool yes.

How big a tire can you fit on a II?

295/50R15 should be somthing like 26.5x11.5-15 or close to it I think. And you recommend 3½" backspacing? I was thinking this myself earlier but it's good to have it confirmed.

How big a tire can you fit on a II?

I'm doing some major surgery on the back of my II and it would be nice to know how much rubber I'll be able to squeeze in there. Minitubbs, rolled fenders and perhaps cut out fender lips? Possibly a rebuilt (maybe I'll install sliders or something?) rear spring mount with 4-6" higher mounting...

    V8 starters, revisited

There is a seret war being waged between engineers and mechanics. Not many people are aware of this but it's there all the same. Just look at the cars they're building today, it's escalated to really bizarr proportions. They really go out of their way to make things strange and difficult.

    Fiberglass flares?

Yeah, I need to fit 28" wheels so they would have to ride higher. My all time favorite is this, but that's probably a custom job.

    Don't lift a 302 short block alone!!

As for the lifting belt... the purpose of the belt is for you to brace the belly and back agaist it.-> More stability. You tighten the abs as much as possibly and then some... (I do a little powelifting in my spare time) And now for the weight part... Does anyone know how much a V8 engine...
