    T-56 swap

97kobra - i just did the t-56 swap in my 98 over the weekend... i too am still trying to find the fix for the speedo... a local (so called) "mustang specific" tuner shop, told me that the speed sensor cannot be calibrated for a 98 because the 03 sensor sends a digital signal and the 98 ecm uses...

    98 cobra with an '03 6 speed????

oh and i did the swap in a day with help from a buddy... the only problem we ran into was the nuetral safety switch wires had to be extended because the 98's is on the driver side and the six speed's is on the passenger side... that was the only real change... as long as you have a driveshaft...

    98 cobra with an '03 6 speed????

ive got a 98 cobra, 4.30's, and the tremec t-56... the t-45 was grinding and whining so it had to go.... the 6 speed is awesome with 4.30's... my only problem is that the speed sensor on the 04 cobra tranny is completely different, some tuning shops around here have given me different...

Fox 4 lug to 5 lug, stock axle length

i work at an oreilly auto parts store and have done a little on the clock research on those front rotor 5 lug swaps... the exact perfect rotors to use are 88-92 lincoln mark series... same 10" diameter same bearings and seals as fox mustangs and same offset. they are probably the cheapest front...

looking for info, input, and suggestions...

ok i found out this... the deck hieght is about .35" inches taller on a 5.4 which DOES spread the heads apart, and there ARE 4.6 4v to 5.4 4v intake adapters just for that reason. and on the year models... there were two blocks for 2v 5.4's. one from 97-01 and a revised NVH block that is...

    how much

from what i understand from my guys at strictly performance in houston TX.. the terminator engines are durable as well as bulletproof.. i always tell myself that if i can find an 03/04 with ANY amount of miles on it for under 20k$ that i would sell my baby and find a way to trade up... ha only...

okay... i need a quick answer!

i found a good deal on a local 01 4v intake. deal probably wont last very long... i am beginning to build a 4v 5.4. if the deck hieght on the 5.4 id taller, wouldn't that spread the heads apart a little? i want to know if i am going to need a special custom intake or will a factory cobra intake...

that what i was told as well and i got quite a steal on a complete 02 triton 5.4 today on my way to work... i do have one concern if the deck hieght is taller on the big bro engine, and i plan on 4v heads and valvetrain, then will a cobra factory intake(say... a 2001) still fit? ive never heard...

okay...my 4v 4.6 has about 125k on her, i want to start building a 4v 5.4 from a bare block. I have been told that 2v and 4v blocks are the same(had i known this before i would have done something more with the two 2v engines that i already have),but i have already sold myself one building a...
