    Track Days in SO-Cal???

Yes, I think you will have to hit Willow Springs as your closest track. If you go up to their site they have a listing of all the events and easy to find out who is hosting what. Many groups let anyone run and have different classes as well as instructors. I got an email from opentrackracing...

Willow Springs April 19-20, 2008 LA Shelby Club

Glad you got it going. It is a really nice event and for 2 days it is about as low cost as it gets. On Sunday, you pretty much can drive until you drop. I started tearing down the Mustang motor, and it is not going to make it in time for this event, I might still make it with another car, but...

Willow Springs April 19-20, 2008 LA Shelby Club

Yes, all Mustangs as well as any other car is welcome. The site was dead last week, I'll bet they got hacked. On good thing is the application is still available as a file download. http://www.lasaac.org/club/OPEN_TRACK_APPL_APRIL2008.pdf That should have all the info, and if you have any...

who is using Canton aluminum road race pan

For the shelby cast aluminum pan, I don't think I would run one. If you do hit something expect it to crack and be done with. The canton pan's are yellowish from the ones I have had or seen, but both the Aviaid and the Armondo are silverish plated and look aluminum, so if that is what you want...

Anyone Running Spicer 1350s on their Driveshaft

I am running 1350's on my car. The TKO and 9" were both set up for them. Don't know about the tail shaft, but Strange Engineering (as mentioned) has a bunch of different styles.

    Serious street/strip enginebuilder CA?

That sounds like Troy. He did my first ford motor and it was not a great experience, the motor didn't last long, and it was in his shop for 9 months or so. He is a great guy but over tasked and that is bad if your in a hurry. Good prices, but you must be on top of him or you will be stuck in a...

who is using Canton aluminum road race pan

You can also get aluminum or steel from Aviaid or Armondo Racing pans. But like others have said if not a really well made pan will be more trouble then it's worth. The Aviaid and Armondo steel pans are pretty much the standard that I see on much of the vintage Shelby(TM Not used with...

    17x8 wheels up front??

I have Globalwest suspension on the front with 17x8 and 245's with a rolled (badly) fender. I had to do some work on the upper arms to keep them out of the rims at the upper ball joint area. Also modified the steering stops to help. Rear have 17x9's with either 245 or 255's, and again badly...

    Not So Good Vibrations

Craig - I don't have a before and after. I am going to look at it this weekend and see how off it really is. The car has regular position eye leafs, so that hasn't changed, but that is not to say it is angled any thing close to what it should be. I'll look and see how it is. The pan is a good...

    Not So Good Vibrations

Sure, I guess just moving the angle of the diff around would help, but it is really not just that problem. The rest of the engine is pretty tilted back, to the point that headers, oil pan, fan in my case are all a bit (tech term) out of whack. I would rather try to clean all that up with getting...

    Not So Good Vibrations

To make it work you would have to move the pinion angle some serious amount and not sure that would even do it. It is also to the point where you have issues with other things (fan, mount, oil pan). The angle is just bad, fixing it by messing with the rear end is not the way to go if that is...

    TKO600 Swap HELP!

I have the same from Dark Horse for a TKO and it does fit, but it does not have a good drive line angle. I spoke with him when I got it installed and he said yes that is how it will fit unless you mod the tunnel, or I guess someone mods the case on the gearbox. I moved it up as much as I could...

    What Shocks?

Front's in Koni for 71+ not avail, rears are and look to be the same as the early Mustangs. I run them (Classic Adjustable Koni's) and they are fine, I have never been a fan of KYB's, but I think the only reason is that I had them on a car that drove odd with them after install. Spax used to...

    Not So Good Vibrations

I have a TKO in my 65 Fastback and it has a similar problem. I have heard that it is common with the Tremec swaps due to the the angle the trans gets into due to the over sized trans having to be dropped down a bit to eliminate hitting the trans tunnel. It is not the pinion angle but the other...
