Help! Bamachips tune issue. Problem with switching back to stock setting

:D Problem resolved. I got in contact with SCT and they were able to download a rescure file to my handheld device and it returned my car back to stock setting sitting in the service bay at the dealership. I then reloaded the Performance Tune just fine. So I got my car back.:nice: Also, this...

Help! Bamachips tune issue. Problem with switching back to stock setting

Bamachips tune issue. Problem with switching back to stock setting Hey all, I have a problem. I took my car (2011 Mustang GT/CS) to the dragstrip yesterday and ran with the Bamachips 91 Octane Performance tune. Earlier in the day, I had the 93 Race tune on and switched back to stock setting and...

Drag radials for 19 inch 2011 GT/CS wheels

I want to use the same wheels I have now. I don't want to have mismatched wheels on the car. Also, I wonder if I could get by with just drag radials on the rear or will I have to put them on the front too.

Drag radials for 19 inch 2011 GT/CS wheels

Does anybody have any recommendations for Drag Radials for a 2011 Mustang GT California Special? The wheels are 19 x 8.5 inch factory California Special wheels. Currently I have stock Pirellis P245/45/ZR19 P Zero Neros.

    2012 5.0 engine recall?

In two independent dyno tests by Edmunds and MotorTrend, the 5.0 pulled 395 RWHP and 378 RWHP. So it is believed the 5.0 is actually underrated by Ford (for insurance purposes?) and produces 420-450 horsepower. If I remember correctly, MototTrend believes the 5.0 Coyote produces 435hp.

    2012 GT owners fuel cap/filler?

One thing to add, you cannot easily put anything into the gas inlet unless you have an adapter that is in the trunk of your car anyway. It is set up to only open when you insert a gas nosel. But I have been told by a few people that they are not sure that water cannot seep into gas tank when...

    2012 GT owners fuel cap/filler?

I just picked up one yesterday. For $27, it is worth the investment to me.

First time to track in an 11 gt....blah

You need to launch smoother and at less rpm. I learned the hard way and found with my 11 GT/CS automatic that I needed to back off and launch around 1800-2000 rpms to get less wheelspin and lower 60 foot times. Also, I crunched some numbers. You have a 12.3 to 12.4 sec car based upon density...

Do you recommend the 2012 Boss 302 for a daily driven car?

I thought about getting a 2012 Boss 302 but opted to go for a 2011 GT/CS instead. Why? I wanted Remote Start so that meant getting an automatic (Boss 302 only available in manual). The Boss 302 does not have all the bells and whistles that a Premium Coupe has such as ambient lighting in the...

Boss 302 Intake + JLT CAI + tune: Improvement in 1/4 mile?

Supposedly this combo adds 58 RWHP. Has anyone done this and what improvement did it make in the 1/4 mile vs stock?

Performance tunes for 2011 5.0 (automatic)

I am in the market for a performance tune for my 2011 Mustang GT/CS (automatic). I want the best tune that will lower my existing 1/4 mile time of 12.794 sec. I used BamaChips in the past for my 4.6 GT and loved their race tune for the automatic. However, I have read that Brenspeed tunes seem to...

Mustang GT optimized for drag racing

Yes. Why? Because I have connections where I can get FRPP at dealer cost. As far as CDC, Ford used CDC's Shaker Hood Scoop system on their factory 2003-04 Mach Is.

    Newbie questions. autos/manuals

My viewpoint on manual vs auto. I really wanted a manual when I bought my GT but I really fell in love with my car when I first saw it at the dealership. And Ford was giving an extra $600+ rebate on automatics. So I thought about it and told the dealership that I really wanted a manual but I...

Mustang GT optimized for drag racing

I have seen info on the Roush Drag Pack on a Mustang GT that supposedly gets high 11s in the 1/4 mile. So if I were going to utilize Ford Racing Performance parts on my 2007 Automatic to create a faster car in the 1/4 mile without adversely affecting daily driveability, what should I use...

    Ford Racing Parts 113mm CAI

On the Ford Performance Parts website, they list a 113mm CAI for 2005-2007 SVT Mustangs. I wondered if this could be used on a Mustang GT or if this is specifically for the GT500.

    1/4 mile results

His times do seem very slow for the mods. However, what constitutes a Ford Power Pack, 90mm CAI and 3.73 gears? Also, what size are his wheels? Ideally, with 17 inch wheels, a 90mm CAI and 3.73 gears, he should be able to turn 13.4-13.5 1/4 mile times in a 2006 GT automatic. But 68F and humid...

22HP from customer tune, axleback, and midpipe

Time for me to chime in on Axelbacks as someone stated that they are mainly for sound. Corsa claims that their axelback system for 2005+ GT are 40% more free flowing than stock and produce 13.1 more peak horsepower.
