going to a blow thru setup

What are you talking about? 3" OD is the perfect size. Too small and you have too much veloicity and too big, and air doesn't move fast enough. He is on the right track. A L meter with sensor flang from VMP tuning is what I ran for over a year with my p1sc. I put in my own 12" long pipe section...

    Thinking of a new DD.

2008 G8 GT, around 25k for a certified pre-owned model, meaning extend GM warranty 48month / 48,000mile warranty. Straigth from down under like the goat. Just nicer and newer. Same ponys though, 402hp. Looks a hell of alot nicer.

    Pypes full length headers

I went with new stock gaskets. I ended up reusing most of my stock bolts. They weren't rusted at all and they were already heat cycled a million times.

    Pypes full length headers

I have Pypes longtubes and H pipe. The quality is really good. The welds looked clean and the fitment was good. I didn't have to rework anything on the driver side. Steering shaft was a tight fit though. On the passanger, I had to shave a few mm on the alumiumn part of the starter and a tiny...

Now you have to worry about bmw's???

The other day, I test drive a bone stock 2003 GT, let me tell you, I couldn't stand driving that guttless wonder. I couldn't tell I was flooring the car. It was in great condition though. Show room perfect. Just no performance whatsoever. I have never felt this way about a stock BMW. Seems they...

    Procharger owners...Mass air questions

Thats what I did. Got some pipe the replace the old procharger stuff, and pickup some some straight alumiumn tubing on ebay and put that before the throttle body and welded the HPX maf flange to the pipe. I solderd the pigtail in place of the old MAF wiring. So its a clean install. At 17 psi, I...

    headers and reliability

For all out longevity, nothing beats a cast iron manifold. Cheap, easy to produce making them perfect for a car designed to last 100,000 miles or more. Headers on the other hand, usually don't make it that far. Welds sometimes fail, the flanges can warp easier then cast iron. Headers tend to be...

    What's the best shifter???

Tri-ax with shifter gaskets. Silent shifter and easy to mix. What I don't like about the MGW is that I can put a good shifter handle. A short handle that rotates does nothing for me. The shorter the handle the less leverage you have. So I had to get the UPR rockcrusher shifter handle...

Now you have to worry about bmw's???

Don't get too jaded though, have you even seen the cost of an aftermarket clutch for an e39 M5. 400hp 5.0L V8. Its a fun car. But when you have to replace the maf like every 40k miles at over 300 a peice, and the car has 2, 02 sensors have to be replaced often, 4 cam position sensors have to be...
