Fuel Starvation Issue Carbureted 1987 5.0

I took the car out for a drive, stopped and then when I returned it would crank but no fire. Opened the hood and there's no fuel in the filter so I thought, hmmm out of gas (another story with gas gauge/sending unit - see end) Got gas and put it in but it was not empty as got less than 15 litres...

Electrical - 12v on a ground wire WTF?

Thank you. I called AutoMeter Tech support and he said it will show 12v until you ground it.

Electrical - 12v on a ground wire WTF?

Driving the 65 I noticed the column mounted tach not working so tonight I took a look. I found a black wire hanging free (turns out it had come free from its connector at the under dash ground screw. Funny thing though is I checked it with the meter and when I turn the lights on it has 12V...

    Build Update

Hey All, Just thought I'd put up an update on where I'm at. Just got my full interior kit so getting excited to install this as it's the last major item. Then swap out the wheels for something larger (thinking 17" TTII 215's). 6cyl converted to 5.0L (carbureted with a Quickfuel 600 Slayer)...

Color Choice on the Fastback- Thoughts

Hopefully on the road for summer. I have my front and back glass gaskets on the way right now (arrive tomorrow) so will be doing glass next. Side vent windows are all rebuilt with new chrome and are ready to go in as well. Just need to get my interior kit now but with the border closed I can no...

Family owned 1966 C-code Fastback soon to be out for restoration. PICS ADDED!

Sorry to hear about the loss of your wife, so sad. I think that having something to focus on also helps people heal. Your car is looking great. I share the same perspective as you. In 2007 I bought a 1965 2+2 and started stripping it down. I started with a 6 cyl T code b/c I wanted to make it...

What car base for gt350 is proper?

No GT-350 coupes ever went to market in 65 but I'm pretty sure I read that Carroll Shelby produced 5 GT-350 coupes as promos/mules that were given to friends of his. I'll try to find the print on that again to confirm.

Help - Brake Distribution Block Leaks at Switch Port

Over the weekend I purchased an adjustable proportioning valve that accepts both front and rear lines. I had to do some replumbing of the lines and fab a homemade bracket but got it in. So far no leaks. BTW - If anyone needs to run double flares on brake lines I would highly recommend the Titan...

Help - Brake Distribution Block Leaks at Switch Port

All the lines are new. It has me perplexed and it seems this problem is not that unusual. I have tried and original 1970 era block and that leaked, I rebuilt it 3 times and had the rebuild guy confirm my seal placement was correct - leaked 3x I bought a new block - leaked I installed a...

Help - Brake Distribution Block Leaks at Switch Port

Hmmmm, I haven't checked that. Wouldn't think anything surprising b/c it's just a manual disc/drum setup with a new dual bowl master.

Color Choice on the Fastback- Thoughts

Here's a pic of Chalk with White and Chalk with Black on a Cobra. There's also another color I was looking at but it harkens back to mainstream (which I am not totally against). It's a color called Cavalry Blue (Toyota I think) which might look nice with white striping. Preferences??

No Brake Fluid to Driver Side Front Caliper

That sounds like a block issue to me. You can disassemble it to check the gaskets are installed correctly. Let me know if you get any leaks at the brake switch port. Every block I have tried has leaked from that port (which should be dry) I am now thinking of going to an adjustable prop...
