The new V6 is an aluminum block design with a forged crank and rods (leaving just the pistons for an upgrade). Also, it makes around 270hp in certain applications already. So, with the Camaro coming out with probably 400 hp in the SS or Z and probably much more than 250hp in the V6...

Instead of just swappign to GT exhaust, does anyone make a performance replacement for the factory V6 single pipe exhaust? I think with intake, exhaust and a decent 3 inch Single, it'd sound pretty nice.

I know these are based off the same 3.8L OHV engine design, but what are the differences? Does the SC use different pistons? Rods? Crank? What about the heads? I was wondering about a 99+ 3.8L V6 with Supercoupe engine and a turbo instead of a SC. I think it'd be pretty fun. Anyone tried this?

I know there are a bunch of different heads, but is there any guide to which is good for what? I'd like to buy a used/rebuilt head and do some major porting/ polishing and run bigger valves. Then I'd like to either fabricate an intake or run one of those turned/ported ones and a larger throttle...
