New to the NW...Yep, another damn Californian!

Just thought I'd say what's up to the locals here in the NW! I'm a transplant from Cali. Moved up in October but have had family in Everett for 12 years. Staying in Everett for now myself. My ride is a 2000 Satin Silver GT Convertible. Still personalizing it. Ashamed to see her covered and...

    the RPMs stick

Have you adjusted the TPS? I just replaced mine yesterday and noticed the r's hanging high. I had to turn the TPS as far counterclockwise as it would go for the right idle. Voltage readings were good...1.0vdc - 4.89vdc. Maybe the throttle blade or linkage is sticking. Also check EGR.

    Help! TPS volts reading opposite?

Thanks I'll give it a shot. Previous owner put a BBK 70mm TB on it. Hopefully the throttle set screw has not been messed with. I'll be surprised if the TPS is that far out of adjustment. The Haynes manual states the TPS is not adjustable contrary to forum and other tech articles online. I...

    adjustable clutch cable

I have been using the Steeda kit for 2 years no problems. It came with an non-adjustable OEM cable, double hook quadrant, and a firewall adjuster. I did have to mod the end of the cable at the firewall adjuster, which was just a matter of cutting of the OEM bracket. I will say the Fiore...

    Help! TPS volts reading opposite?

So I'm trying to rectify the common idle drop issues and have found many helpful threads here. I have checked for vacuum leaks, replaced the IAC. The IAC has helped some but the idle drops below 500rpm occasionally. Usually when coming to a sudden stop. It has not died out. I went to back...

    maximum motorsports K member installed!!!

Sweet car, great choices in suspension setup. Can't go wrong with MM! I was happy just to replace my rear upper control arms and diff. bushings! They were in bad shape, the rear end walked all over under torque. What a difference in handling. Now I can take enjoy the other sup. mods like my...

Low RPM misfire from 1k-2k RPM's PLEEASE HELP!!! Frustrated

Have you pulled your Coil-over-plugs out and checked for signs of water /rust in the plug wells??? This is common on these engines. You may have a bad COP. Try pulling the electrical connector off each COP one at a time until you don't here a change ie the misfire doesn't get worse. Thats one...

Mustang Cobra wins Speed GT at Long Beach

Had a great weekend at the Long Beach Gran Prix....goodbye Champ cars. It was cool to a Mustang do well against Vettes, Vipers, 911 GT3's, and the CTS-V. Check out this link for more info. :nice: http://www.scca.com/newsarticle.aspx?hub=4&news=3313

on the way to work I saw the worst mustang EVER

LOL! Unfortunately, that kind of Mustang defecation is all too common in Cali. BUT...there are plenty of the REAL DEAL too. In GTR's defense, they're a decent shop. Good service and prices. I guess they don't discriminate.

    WTF

More grip from new tires will bring more wheel hop instead of spin. Serious power will twist a car hard at launch but not at your HP level. I would look at all your bushings. Especially those at each end of the upper and lower control arms. Your car has some years and miles on it now...

    Clutch Cable install...NOT ENOUGH CABLE..??

Start with the simple possibilities...Verify the part number is correct, they may have made a mistake and gave you the wrong one. If you have a multi-hook quadrant, use a different hook. If you have a firewall adjuster, give it a few turns to free-up slack. Verify you routed the cable...

Opinions on rear control arms and sub frames

Thanks for the responses. The price seemed soooo low for all that hardware. Proves again, if it sounds too good to be true than it probably is.

Opinions on rear control arms and sub frames

So not only are my bushings shot but the passenger rear upper is broken at the seam around the top bushing! I prefer MM components but I'm on a super tight budget right now. Found this set on ebay which includes rear uppers, lowers, and SFC's. I would order bushings for differential side too...

What would you buy with $700?

Shifter and SFC's are a must on our cars. Spend the rest on NHRA Winter National tickets at Pomona in November.

Passenger side sits higher after suspension install

I read that you should NOT cover both holes when you seat the springs as they are designed to allow water to drain thus reducing rust.
