    You'll have to swap the input shaft since the fox body's is a bit shorter. Otherwise it'll be fine, I'm using a '97 V6 mustang's T5 on my '89 5.0 with a 200 shot and its been holding fine so far. Here's the spec chart: http://www.moderndriveline.com/Technical_Bits/transmission_spec.htm

    Did you try replacing the spark plug? I've had a bad plug cause that before. Also, are you using dielectric grease on the plug connectors? Oh and yes this would cause a loss of power. If it is arcing out you are most likely not firing on that cylinder.

    Yep, that's what I figured. I keep a cheap motorcraft dist as my backup since I've had my MSD crap out before. That way I can do a quick swap and be back on the road while I fix my primary dist.

    Yep, I forgot about the remote mounted TFI on the SN-95. Is the PIP easy to replace on those? I always found it easier to replace the dist on my fox, which is why I keep a backup on hand :)

    That sounds like TFI. I'd swap that out and if it still has a problem try a different dist. I have had the magnetic pickup inside the dist go bad on me before so it's not unheard of, but the TFI module goes bad more often.

    I doubt your car took a strong enough hit in the parking lot to trip the inertia switch without you seeing some damage but it's a quick thing to check as well just to cover all the bases if you can't tell if the fuel pump is running or not.

    Yes it matters which side of the coil you T into. You should T into the coil ground wire. It should be the one that is a different color on every coil. The plasma booster works by continuing to pulse the ground circuit on the coil after the initial firing by your ECU if I remember right.

    You can probably get your 60' down more by working on your suspension setup but sticky tires are always a good thing. Just be prepared to completely re-learn your launch technique and dish out a lot more abuse to your drivetrain.

    Yep I have mine off but carry them with me. It's drivable in the rain but not the best situation. Besides, driving these cars in the rain is harrowing enough without having to devote more attention to seeing where you're going. My vote is pull 'em and keep 'em in the car.
