Wow. Love it. Makes me want to get back home and get mine painted. I think I'm gonna run the 10th anniversary wheels.

Need suggestions on keeping mice out of my car.

Another one for dryer sheets. Putting them under the front seats seems to keep them out of the inside of the car completely. Also, Mouse traps and peanut butter used to work but not with the ones in our new house. After trying a lot of stuff, I found some stuff at Lowe's. I can't remember...

What do YOU want for Christmas???

Hmmm. Been over here in the sandbox for almost 15 months now (again) so just coming home to work on the Rustang would be a great gift. Maybe a winning lottery ticket so I can start chipping away at my wishlist.

    gt40p's on an 86 block?

I've heard in several other threads about needing to have valve reliefs in the pistons. '86 had 9.2:1 compression and flat taops and 87-? had 9.0:1. I have some E-7s on my '86 and there is no problem. Some said there would be a problem and others said I'd be fine. They were on the car when I...

Got a new shipping scale and weighed some parts, T5, stock hood, fender, heads, etc

I'd also be intersted in the weight of a hatch with glass and all if anyone gets bored and has a scale

What happens if i cut holes in Mufflers?

Holes in the mufflers? Probably sound like doodoo. As far as the cardboard turbo, get it damp before you go to the track, it will help cool the air and give you about another 20 HP.

worth while to go electric w/p

As far as what you need to do, it's not hard. I pulled the A/C and PS and mounted the Moroso electric drive on the driver's side. That dropped quite a bit of weight between the pumps, brackets, etc... The electric drive hardly weighs anything. I am running a 29 1/2" belt to drive just the...

    egr plate coolant lines?

Mine's been bypassed for a while. I bypassed it on a 2003 Silverado I used to have to keep the air cooler and since there was no EGR right there , I didn't have to worry about it getting too much hot air. I noticed that the throttle body stayed cooler without the coolant running through it. As...

worth while to go electric w/p

I am only driving the alternator on mine now. I have a Moroso electric drive that I bought used. I picked up an extra motor to keep in the trunk "in case." It would take all of 5 minutes to change over. Anyways, with an aluminum underdrive crank pulley only driving my new 3G alternator, it does...

    393 stroker stock block?

I think I probably will just keep the AFRs. I'm probably not going to run to big of a cam due to them being rated for higher RPMs

    393 stroker stock block?

cool site, thanks I'm not sure what kind of HP I will be running but a good tune is definitely in order. Here's the combo between stuff I have and want to run. 351w block, scat stroker crank, keith black .030 forged pistons (still need rods), AFR205 heads (may go with the Twisted Wedge CNC R...

Are there some heads better than AFR?

I am building a 393 stroker for my '86 and picked up a set of new AFR205 heads dirt cheap, damn near a steal, $1,200. Since I was able to do this, I could make some money if I sold them (for about $1,700) if I could find some heads that are better. I am keeping this all motor, no power adders...

    393 stroker stock block?

I've talked to a few builders locally and while they have done strokers, only one has ever done a 393 stroker like this and has never heard back from the guy.Maybe no news is good news. I want to talk to some guys here who have done it. Experience is the best teacher IMO. I don't want to rev...
