Who told you they are 165,s?? The casting number on the head is 142 which is a bare 185 head.

Scott, what caused the damage was the 7500rpm hit. DO NOT TRY TO LEAVE IN SECOND GEAR. You will glaze the clutch. Your going to have to learn to shift it pretty quickly. It took me two trips to the track to learn the car. I recommend putting the slicks on as they will not spin like the DR's do...

You will use twice as much alcohol as you would pump gas. So in reality there isn't much cost gain at all. Alcohol will run cooler and can handle higher compression better then pump gas.
