I've had my Optima red top for almost 4 years now and 3 vehicles ( 1 with a huge stereo system and a 200 amp alt. with a capacitor) and has never once died on me. I've left the dome light on in my truck overnight several times and it always fires right up. Cant go wrong with the red or yellow.

You can "smoke" them.. A body guy around here has done a few lights that way.. I think you miix up some black paint with clear the paint and you shoot the insides of the linses. Prolly wouldnt be the best idea for headlights tho- they turn out pretty dark.
