    A Dragon is Born

That sounds reasonable. I'm not really going to be quartering this car often. However it is slightly heavier than a pony so a gear reduction might just be in order. As I mentioned the trans is getting a somewhat high stall converter,so maybe I won't have to drop as far as you mentioned.Another...

Hmmm sounds like I need a blower. But not right now somewhat cost prohibative I think. So what might happen if I don't jam the air into it?

Thanks for the info. And I saw the conversation you just had about those IRS's in the other forum. My IRS is an 8.8 unit Just have to get some beefy axles I doubt however I will generate enough ponies to acctually snap them.

    A Dragon is Born

The engine is vintage 98,the "bird" has an AODE of which I plan on some serious mods, high stall converter. Also there is independant rear suspension in the bird-should help it stick to the launch fairly well. As far as the controller in the bird I am not really sure if it is up to the task-...

    A Dragon is Born

I'm realitivly sure I will get some negative feedback over this but here it goes anyway. I have a 4.6l four cam cobra engine that has just been laying around and recently picked up a 95 thunderbird with a 4.6l 2 cam so I figurer why not marry to two-- COBRA/THUNDERBIRD=flying snake hense the...

    Oiling Solution?

I have a 4.6 four cam that recently we discovered developed oilo starvation on the right head. Upon autopsy we found the crankshaft entension was bent and damaged some of the main bearings. However I also made the observation that the right head was fed oil after the crankshaft was done with it...

    Got to "LOVE" this 4.6l

:bang: While removing the supercharger accessory drive (Crankshaft Extenision) during the reseal on this 4 cam 4.6l I think it got bent. Or so I assume, because I had one hell of a time getting to come loose. Then agian it may have been bent before I even started. My question is is this a unique...

    Dead spots in power band?

I have run across MAF sensors creating intermittent problems such as the one you describe and setting absoutly no trouble codes. Easiest way to confirm that is when the problem occurs again give the MAF a tap with something the handle of a screwdriver. Hope this helps.

    2002 GT - Jumpy 25-40 mph

Might consider droping the trans pan and taking a peak. 30 mph is a little soon for overdrive to come on and the torque load at that speed is incredible. Possibly pulled through the "OD" clutches or cooked them along with the directs. At least pull the dipstick and smell the fluid. Also use a...

    t-45 rebuild project advice

As long as the locker, blocker and gear mesh they "should" be good to go. In other words the syncronizer should sit within .030-.070 or so from full contact with the gear. In some cases I seen complete and full but usually that is in "WORN" units.

    t-45 rebuild project advice

Well in the "45" 1st/2nd syncro there should be 3 components involved. An inner -a middle -and an outer blocker rings- then there is the syncro cone. All of which must be "timed" correctly to come up with the right clearance. I might be able to come up with some exploded views for you but I...
