    Increasing Novi 1220 Sl Boost?

Thanks for the reply! So I guess my confusion stems from, what makes the Si a 'better' supercharger, for someone who wants say, 400-500hp (let's just imagine nothing explodes on my car). I think I recall reading the Sci can push 1050cfm and the Si, 1150, or some numbers close to that. How...

    Increasing Novi 1220 Sl Boost?

Little bump for those that have run a Vortech or Paxton before. Thanks!

    Increasing Novi 1220 Sl Boost?

I have been looking for a used inexpensive S/C and have came across the 1220 SL. I am wondering what the drawbacks are to this blower? I see it only provides 5-6psi it says. What is the difference between this and say, the 1200 (Or the Si vortech, for example). Is there internal differences...

Electrical World Power Systems Or Cardone New Distributor. Come With Pip Sensor?

Debating just buying a Motorcraft PIP and Module now.. Just debating the cost-benefit on a car that gets driven 500miles a year! Any bearings in the distributor (I can't seem to see one in diagrams, but you'd assume there would be at least one, near the top)?

Electrical World Power Systems Or Cardone New Distributor. Come With Pip Sensor?

Thanks for the responses guys! No, replacing a PIP is definitely not above my skillset, but I figured, it and the module are probably both from 1988 (Bought the engine from a donor car.. There are only a few bits and pieces giving me trouble, and they are probably the only bits I never...

Electrical World Power Systems Or Cardone New Distributor. Come With Pip Sensor?

I was thinking of replacing my TFI Module (I have a strange hot start issue.. might as well start throwing parts at it!).. Then I read about the PIP sensor, so I figured, might as well replace the distributor! Cardone (new) is about $20 more than the WPS new distributor. Anyone have any...

Ping/click When Ignition Cycled On. What Are The Sequence Of Events When The Key Is Turned On?

Tis the IAC, it seems. It seems to respond well to 12v, but should it make an audible click when ignition is turned on, after the fuel pump stops?

Ping/click When Ignition Cycled On. What Are The Sequence Of Events When The Key Is Turned On?

When I cycle the key on now, I hear a strange metallic sounding 'ping' or click, coming from around the intake manifold (the fuel pump has shut off by this point. Maybe 1 full second afterwards). What are the sequence of events when the ignition is cycled on (but not cranked). Do injectors...

Brakes Why Do Some Say Modifying The Parking Brake Is Necessary With Disc Conversion?

What is special about the cables? It's only the cables that necessitate welding the parking lever? When I did this mod to the 67, I believe I used a Generic cable from the lever.. It then went into a custom built 'equalizer', that has 3 adjustments. 1 for the front, and 2 for the rears (1 per...

Brakes Why Do Some Say Modifying The Parking Brake Is Necessary With Disc Conversion?

Just curious about why some people (and a specific kit) say the self adjustment mechanism needs to be disabled when switching to SN95 rear discs. If you do NOT disable it, you are in essence just using an SN95 parking brake handle. And since you are installing SN95 rear calipers, they should...

Ebay Knockoff Shifters. Anyone Ever Try?

Thanks for the replies guys, A5liter: The ones they sell ARE the same as the eBay ones I believe. I haven't fiddled much with the shifter, but how can they create notchiness. that's all in the ball and spring, no? The shifter, as far as I remember (could be wrong) just pivots around a central...

Ebay Knockoff Shifters. Anyone Ever Try?

Not racing, just looking for opinions on those who have owned them. Just considering this since the tranny is out.

Ebay Knockoff Shifters. Anyone Ever Try?

Hey guys, going to pull the T5 from my 1967 to do a little work and got thinking, while it's out, maybe I'd replace the shifter with a knockoff I saw on ebay (Well, I saw many of them). I think they are pro-5.0 shifter knockoffs but can't be sure, not familiar with them really. Anyone used one...

    Electrical Starter Heat Shield

Very confused. You said it cranks.. If it cranks, it has nothing to do with heat soaking the starter?

Drivetrain Will A Clutch Meant For 1993 Fit On A 1987?

No, just concerned about difference between 1993 and 1987. Talked to them on the phone again, and they said what I want would be 52672006, which would have SLIGHTLY more clamping force, but not really any more pedal effort. But it doesn't seem to be a common number like 52672001 and 2002.

Drivetrain Will A Clutch Meant For 1993 Fit On A 1987?

http://www.valeoclutches.com/product/0/52672002/_/OE_Replacement_Clutch_Kit Talked to them on the phone, they said the 2002 #PN is for a T45 tranny.. sigh What uses T45? SN95? Did they take a different clutch?

Yes, that is what i thought. I wonder why the discrepancies with the listings? Nothing different with the flywheels or anything?

Drivetrain Will A Clutch Meant For 1993 Fit On A 1987?

What is different about the T5 trannies? Looking through some part listings, some parts say 93-2001, and some clutches 1986-2001.. This doesn't make sense to me? Any reason why a clutch for a 1993 wouldn't fit on a 1987-1988?

    Drivetrain Valeo 52672001 Vs 52672002?

Looking at both these clutches.. Does anyone know the actual difference, or what they were relabeled as? I'm leaning towards the 52672002, but I DON'T want it to be the FRPP HD version (with the stiff pedal), so I'm not sure how to check out if that was the case!
