I will never be done with my car.

I hear ya… I won't be driving mine for a very long time. Life does get in the way sometimes, we just bought a house and are getting married in August so money is tight. I have only ever seen my car a total of three times, and it is in storage until the move is all done. I won't have the money to...

    someday car

Nice drawing :) I find it funny how many people have their ideal "dream" year, yet they another year. '67 is my dream yet I couldn't pass up the deal on my '66. '69 is a great year, so tough and brute looking. I think your taillight mod would really finish it off nicely though, those...

    Looking for a real project?

I thought I'd help out the fellow I bought my car off of in November and post a link to the classifieds. He is selling 64 1/2, 65, 66 (and one 68) convertibles and coupes, sorry fastbacks are sold. These cars are in rough shape (some would be best suited to parts) but some are very salvageable...

Why would anybody drive a new Stang in road salt...

I have waited SO many years for my car, I don't care if there are a million on the road or not. Mine is special to me. Once I've dumped a ton of money into it and it's restored and all pretty-pretty, I won't be subjecting it to our nasty canadian winters. That's what the Pinto is for, and beater...

    I am a noob!

it's got 2.80 in the rear, and I think I've decided to go with the original interior. Something about those two toned interiors that just make them pop. A 4bbl isn't out of the question, is there a major difference in mpg? (sad that I have to consider that, but at $1.03/litre it adds up fast)...

    I am a noob!

I still haven't decided about the engine yet, if it isn't grenaded (I suspect it wasn't abused, but who knows...) I'll rebuild it, thinking about getting better flowing heads for starters. Once upon a time I had considered the 302 fuelie swap, but since feeling the difference between a carbed...

    I am a noob!

Well just to make this more difficult for you, here is the classifieds page + contact for the fellow looking after selling them :D http://northbay.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-classic-cars-65-66-MUSTANGS-UPDATED-W0QQAdIdZ29957615 ranger04, yes it really was a mustang heaven of sorts...

    I am a noob!

Thanks for the heads up on the headliner (bad pun there...). I intend on getting the shell sandblasted so everything will be coming out anyways. I look forward to checking out Mustangs at car shows next year to really pay attention to details like this as I don't have a point of reference right...

    I am a noob!

oh that reminds me... the other red fastback, which I don't have a picture of, has the horrible 'fender flares' made out of thin sheet metal, revetted on. Broke my heart... Some people shouldn't be allowed to have these cars :S By the way JD, the car you posted is right up my alley.. I have...

    I am a noob!

Here are a few pics of the yard... you can see the backend of the red fastback at the end of the row. Some shmuck decided to take the motor out via wooden 4x4's... it's nearly crushed in half :( the burgundy convertible in the foreground is in very good shape actually... you can...

    I am a noob!

yes Ontario... I have heard western cars are still decent, god I hate road salt!!! The yard I got this one from had 21 in total, many were beyond help, but quite a few convertibles. One couple picked up a '66 convertible the same day I did for $1000. I'll post some pics of the yard tonight...

    I am a noob!

hmmm I'm thinking outside back to Vintage Burgundy, or something along those lines... The inside will either be parchment/dk red pony or standard black. Depends on how hard that colour combo is to find, I'd be cool with black. I've seen some interior kits on ebay for $600-$700 anyone had any...

    I am a noob!

thanks for the comments. Yes, it is a major project, but it will be a labour of love. I have wanted one of these since I was a kid, and now finally have the resources and $ to do it. Believe it or not, this is the best looking one I have come across for the money. Most cars up here in Canada...
