    HC=unburned hydrocarbons= running really rich you can try to run the piss out of the car before the smog test and hope that all the hc's are buned off at the cats (which should be hot) before they reach your exhaust pipes or advance the timing to lean out a bit. Good luck

    If it was the pilot bearing wouldn't it make the noise in any gear instead of only 1-3? I think it stops making the noise when the clutch is in dues to the fact that the transmission is disengaged.... Drove it again this morning, still only making noise in 1,2, and 3 gears....

    transmission Your car came w/ a T-45 but that does not mean you still have a t-45 (unless you are the original owner and know every mod)... If it it a t-45 tansmission that has never been cracked open it should have a small metal tag on the tailhousing..

    I had to take the tailshousing off took the tailhousing off....put the block spring and ball in WITH the tailhousing at the same time....only way to do it.... Never make that mistake twice.....:nonono:
