ok so this is my S/C plan....

I have the first version, the standard 2.3, and with that I was at 474 rwhp when I was running 12psi--so you should have no problem hitting 400 rwhp with the GEN II @ 10 psi. Just make sure your tune is conservative, and always run good gas.

ok so this is my S/C plan....

Well part of that will depend on how you plan on driving the car. But at 400 rwhp the stock trans will be fine---and the first sign of trouble would be the stock converter locking / unlocking. I ran my stock t/c for almost a year on N20 before that started happening. I would definitely...

ok so this is my S/C plan....

This is actually pretty important at the track with an auto. I have noticed that my car will hit the rev limiter from 1st to 2nd if I race with the transmission cold. Ideally your trans temp should be around 160 when you make a pass. I installed some aeroforce interceptor gauges, install...

ok so this is my S/C plan....

The first thing that "usually" goes with these transmissions is the stock torque converter. A couple years ago when my trans was still completely stock, the converter would lock, then unlock on the big end. If it does it on the dyno it will be clear as day, your dyno graph will look like a...

    Front Runners

Hey where abouts are you? I have the factory spare wheel / tire that I will never use, if your local you can just come by and pick it up---its taking up valuable space in my garage and I want to get rid of it.

Long term SC reliability for a Daily Driver

I have a Whipple--I put it on in April of 2007, so far 13,400 miles on it and 118 passes at the track, no problems yet.

    runing the 1/8th mile sunday

I think you will run a 9.0 if auto and 8.8 manual if you know how to shift. Also, some things that will affect your times: track prep? DA? What tire you plan on using, etc. How are you going to prep the car? Removing the spare? 1/2 tank gas? etc. I just raced at Irwindale last night...

My street set up is the same thing --- here is exactly what I have. Front: 18x9 +36mm offset no spacers with a 255/45/18 tire. Rear: 18X10 +45mm offset no spacers with a 295/45/18 tire. I went with a 28 tall in the rear because I also have 4.10s. With the +45mm offset, you can also lower...

    Best New Drag Times!

Good job. That mph is good for a 12. 4.10s will definitely help since you have a good tire. I run the 325's on a 17X9 wheel and have had my best results at 17psi warm--no sway on the big end.

    Line Locks

Ok--I read the full page you sent me---very interesting---and it also answered the question of why some cars and not others.

    Line Locks

Its not that I don't believe you---its 1) never heard of this before 2) and I am curious as to what was the cause (or) why it happened and 3) how could it happen to some cars and not others? As stated earlier, I have had mine on for over a year and used quite often without problems---other...

    Line Locks

I used a switch that is similar to the ones pictured below, but difference being the switch has a red light when on. I put mine on the center console by the shifter. If you don't want to drill into anything in the dash or console, you could consider this set up here...

Finally ordered the Whipple and Suspension

Dynatech 1 3/4 inch primary pipe to a 3 inch collector long tubes, catted x-pipe (but I have since hollowed out the cats since one started coming apart). Currently I have JBA mufflers but was thinking of changing to the magnaflow magnapacks.

    Line Locks

What is your source for this information? I have been running the single solenoid line lock at the track for over a year, no problems at all. And I go to the track often, usually every Thursday and once a month on weekends. Also, yes---that is an advantage with the PMP kit as far as the...

    Good tire for the street?????

Even so, I would still pick the M&H 325 any day of the week. A radial that you can drive on the street, and so far a best 1.473 60' for me, and a 1.44 60' with my buddies 3.4 whipple mustang. If anyone buys the M&H 325's and are unhappy---PM me---I will buy them off of you. In my opinion...

    Good tire for the street?????

I run the M&H 325/45/17's and I am very pleased with them. If I use them on the street I run 28-30psi and they are great. Track I just drop the pressure down to 17psi. I will say, however, that they do suck in the rain. Other then that they are great.

    spark plug question

Still gap them at .035 or less. I run a s/c @16psi with ht0's and I have mine gapped at .028. The Ht0 is 1 heat range colder, but you gap the plugs down so you don't get spark blow out with the increased cylinder pressure. How much boost are you running with the turbo?
