SOLD Lots Of Springs + Shocks + Misc Crap

Update: must go, last day in garage is July 31. Cars and most tools will be gone by July 14 and I won't be around there much longer. Taking any offers on items picked up (cash). Otherwise stuff is going in the recycle pile, takes up too much space.

Replace the distributor. You already answered your own question.

Who's Y'all's Go To Parts Store?

Work part time at Advance, so there first. If we don't have something and I need it in a pinch, NAPA because my wife can pick it up on the way home from work (she works right across from one). I always prefer for my stuff and side jobs to use RockAuto but the customers sometimes need NOW.

    Which Supercharger?

If you only have pump gas accessible to you, this is a good move. What I've advised my customers to do is get it tuned in good air on 93 and get a second very conservative tune with the water/meth. Don't worry about making additional power, just use it as extra octane for when it gets really...

98 Mustang Making A "creaking" Noise When Going Slow And Turning

Do any diagnostics yet? Otherwise you are just throwing parts at it. All of what you said could be causing it plus damaged insulators, tie rods, etc. Get the front end up off the ground and see if the problem repeats, that will rule a lot out. While you're at it give it the 3/9 and 6/12...

    Which Supercharger?

You put enough fuel in the hole during the combustion process and eventually some of it leaks past the rings, especially at idle when you are moving relatively little air compared to under load. This is why older carbeurator engines need rebuilds so much more often and the cylinder walls are...

    Which Supercharger?

Injectors depend on how good the tuner is. I've seen 60s tuned to near-stock driveability. 83s are really pushing it and there are a few more hiccups but not undriveable. Just hard to open injectors that big very small amounts at idle. I'm not a fan of BAPs. Lots of people have had success...

How To Not Really Trash A Mustang. Part 1.

DEPO black housing projectors and HIDs in the Cobra. same ones but clear in the 94GT. http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t221/cjr2003firefly/IMG_78612-2.jpg we were daily driving the car and simply could not see at night. I didn't really love the look at first but loved the light output...

    Which Supercharger?

A few quick thoughts came to mind from your post. 1. I wasn't talking about KBs or other PD blowers - I was talking about centris, ProChargers in particular. 2. Anyone with a Fox or later Mustang chassis running a stock style suspension is a smart man to go from a shorter gear (such as 3.73...

    Which Supercharger?

Yes, it can get you there, though I admit to being a bit more familiar with the ProCharger setups. If you are looking to purchase new, I'd look to the V7 YSi setup for those power levels. The compressor map leaves a lot of room to grow and is nearly identical down low. The quality control and...

    Which Supercharger?

Built plenty of modular motors (most 4V) with centri's for street driven cars. I wasn't their biggest fan at first, but with a 4.10 gear you really will not notice any "lack" of power down low. Hits hard around 3000 and, frankly, helps keep the tires planted.

Ford Dealerships Don't Reprogram Clusters ?

They only did it because his new one has MORE mileage on it and felt they could not get in trouble for it. Which they would be wrong on, anyhow.

    Fuel Switching To Corn?

I'm not so much worried about the total timing as I am how fat or lean it runs (as I stated from my experience about a half a point). The difference in those mentioned is car to car - some are dramatic, some it's almost nil. The point being when you have this kind of money in a setup and you...

    Fuel Switching To Corn?

It's not always horsepower - often it is throttle response, idle quality, drive ability, off-boost or tip-in power, power under the curve, etc. Granted, it's not always a huge difference that you can boast about your peak HP in your signature on your favorite car forum to get all the high...

    Fuel Switching To Corn?

I have dyno and track experience with E98, E85, and E70 and one customer with E98 on a road course. As a general rule of thumb, a car tuned on E85 runs a half point richer on E70. Not internet folklore, not conjecture, not should-be, would-be. Actual measured wideband. If you are running...

    Engine Belt Routing

If the 74.5 is too tight, try a larger aftermarket pulley on the idler and tensioner. Often times the aftermarket stock replacement ones from the parts store are a little bit bigger or smaller and can mess up what belt sizes should be.

Oil Pan Front Sump Plug Question.

If you go to a local auto parts store chain, get the number for the factory plug (floor item). Look immediately to the left or right of that part number for the plug meant for stripped out pans (you will see the threaded section looks like it is cut in half). Drain the oil and replace the plug...
