    Which tuner to buy.....

you can get a hold of Clint Garrity (BE/EA developer) via EEC Analyzer or he posts on EECTuning.org • Index page . Craig Moates rarely posts on eectuning but he has his site at Ford Pre-2005 : Moates.Net (where you can order QH). They seem to have worked together for this total product and...

    Which tuner to buy.....

datalog error has been brought up with Clint EECTuning.org • View topic - BE Shuts down when I stop datalogging and it's not an every time issue, intermitent at best... unfortunately, he is still trying to figure out the issue. It truely is great to have the outstanding customer support...

    Which tuner to buy.....

You're not too far away. I'm no expert but I'd be willing to help with the learning curve.

    Which tuner to buy.....

Moates Quaterhorse with BE and EA. Changes on the fly (don't tune while you drive!). Spend the money on the parts and time to research/learn; never have to pay another tuner again. WOT tuning at the track or dyno. My car has run the best with using a stock tune template with modifications for...

    Going nuts!

most likely that small nipple on the breather is not enough to reduce crankcase pressure. You can try using what you have with an open breather where the PVC is OR you need open breathers on the VC's OR a VC breather like you have but a 5/8 - 3/4 outlet nipple going to a catchcan with an open...

    How should I tune it?

there is a guy on EECtuning (Decipha) that I heard was doing tunes via email (for a small fee) for the quarterhorse. I believe he also works at a tuning shop during the day, so he does have experience. That might do you justice until you get the grasp of tuning for yourself. Plus there is plenty...

    Flywheel Help!

I did a 28oz flywheel for my 363 and had the same problem. But, I was a knucklehead and kept tightening the stock bolts (for the pressure plate) into the flywheel until one of them broke. I believe the new bolts you need are 5/16 -18 x 1.

Car just Randomly dies with new setup

I don't have a VSS on mine, dont even have the wires for it. But it can contribute to the symptoms 4rdnut mentioned. THe VSS does have a lot of settings in the ECU that are controlled by MPH. The TPS voltage shouldn't matter as long as it's not over 1.25v or below .20v (as these are the min...

Car just Randomly dies with new setup

do you engine brake when coming to a stop or prior to turning? If so, then yes, it would happen all the time. The base idle needs to be adjusted to keep the engine running until the IAC takes over. Did you change the throttle body along with the H/C/I install? Did this start happening after...

Car just Randomly dies with new setup

question is: was it set properly? If the computer memory isn't cleared and idle screw set (without the IAC connected) the IAC will control the idle. Regular idle will work fine, but when you transition from one mode of driving to another it can cause the car to stall, especially with a manual...

Car just Randomly dies with new setup

just an idea.... if you just put a bunch of new stuff on your engine did you propperly re-adjust the idle.

    Fuel rails and distributor

not sure if I understand your setup the way you have it written. you should have a feed line to each rail, then from each rail to the regulator with a single return from the regulator back to the tank. you might have to use a 45* fitting on the drivers side front to get around the dizzy. or...

Does adding timing effect air fuel ratio?

but what if the timing is adjusted to where the entire fuel mixture isn't being completely burned? (too far advanced or retarded) an in-complete burn would have left over fuel which would have an affect on AFR just a thought...

    Simple 2 part question

I'd say a clogged PCV could cause excess pressure in the cranckcase which could force oil past your rings and into the cylinders, but most likely the pressure would find the weakest point (in a gasket) and exit there causing a leak. If your piston rings were worn I'd say that there is a...

    Fuel system upgrade quetsions!!

for equality of fuel supply (and pressure) to the rails you would need a y-block with feed line to each rail, then from each rail to a bypass type regulator with the return back to the tank. you could probably run a system like BBK (5010) (that adapts to the stock rails but using your...
