    a reputable shop specializing in ford rears built the rear for me so i'm confident with the work..i'll put some gear oil in and try it out again..this is probably a stupid question but is it just harder to turn because i went from a 40yr old open rear with 2.XX gears to a brand new 3.80 posi unit?

    cam selection

    i'm currently building up my 289 this is what i have so far.. 600 edelbrock carb, performer RPM intake really heavily ported 289 heads, tri-y's, 4 speed, and a 3.80 rear..i have a performer RPM cam to put in too but i'm not sure if i should go with something better i was thinking about switching...

    wheels and tires on a 66

    i was thinking about getting a cheap set of 15x7 or 8 inch wheels for drag radials when i go to the track but i'm not sure on a few things..whats the correct spacing needed for the wheels and whats the widest tire i can fit in the back with a 7 inch rim or an 8 inch rim without any clearance issues?

    thanks for the help in the decision making guys..i decided i'm gonna go with the ported heads..i stoppped by the shop today and looked at them and the port work is awesome..so they're putting in bigger valves and all that good stuff for me too..hopefully it'll be a good combo with the rpm cam...

    i got a set of 69 DOOE heads and i'm about to get them machined and put them on but i was wondering if i could still use my performer 289 intake and what length pushrod will i need? thanks for the help!

    underdrive pulleys

    i was flipping through a parts catalog and came across a set of underdrive pulleys for 289/302's with v-belts. i put underdrives on my 94 lightning and saw a big gain but are they worth it for v-belts?

    trip to the track

    i was running an autolite 4bbl the guy who i bought it from had put an original 66 4bbl manifold and autolite carb on but since i was so disapointed i put my new intake and carb on and hopefully this week ill get the headers on and definatly work on my launch before i head back down
