What The Hell Happened To This Forum?

Have not been here in probably 7 - 10 years. It was absolutely crazy back then! My story is I sold Chepie (Indian Fire 69 Vert) in 2004, and built a Factory Five Cobra. It was built to be a track car from the start, and has been a great project. It is now full of racing and tech modifications...

    Electronic Power Steering

Wow, a '28 Indian Fire Vert? Ungodly rare!!!!! I still keep a picture of one with a white top on my desk. Chrome GT wheels on the car in the pic. Chepie had a 5.0 and AOD, plus a custom Rack & Pinion steering, and the Granada disc brake upgrade. Gathering more parts, have a plan. I do need to...

    Electronic Power Steering

Hey Gang! Been many years since I have been here, the Cobra is doing great, pretty much a full race car now. Blew out many power steering parts, finally changed it back to manual steering last year. Much more precise, but on the street like driving an F600 dump truck. So, looking for a system...

Best Brake Calipers than cab be used with Fox spindles and 15" wheels

Started Life as a Factory Five MKII and used a 1988 GT as a donor. Over the years, it's been slowly converted to a racer. Only Fox items left now are the front spindles & steering rack, and the radiator. Did the 5-lug during the build. Front brakes are basically Fox with racing brake pads...

    Just a teaser for 2013....

The Cobra is now pretty much a full track car! It got the roll cage, full track alignment and balance, doubled up the spring rates, and some more motor work. it's now stupid-fast, handles like a freak, and is no no longer comfortable on the street. But, still having fun with it! Just...

    Can a 429 go in a 69 M-code Mustang?

You more will have issues with fitting the 429 into your 69, as it's too wide. You will have to modify the shock towers. As for out back, there are many traction bars and other methods to help hook it up to the strret. Staggered shocks to not guarentee traction. my 428 could light 'em up...

Best Brake Calipers than cab be used with Fox spindles and 15" wheels

I have a Factory Five Cobra, basically a track car. Very fast, built. I am limited by my own choice to keep the 15" GT-40 wheels when I sdrive it on the street. So, I am looking for the best brakes that can fit inside. I am currently using the Lincoln LSV front calipers (larger piston in...
