    Are the stock E7 intake ports as big or smaller than the Explorer lower intake ports? I don't want to port the intake side to the point that it is bigger than the Explorer intake ports.

    I bought a pair of worked E7 heads for 125 bucks. Exhaust port has been ported and the intake ports were slightly ported. Has a three-angle valve job, HD springs that can take .550 lift and they have been decked .040. I'm planning on keeping the stock HO cam and buying 1.7 or 1.72 roller...

    Oh ok. So, I'll just change the crank pulley. They are UPR steel underdrive pulley's.

    :nice: I already installed a 96' 5.0 Explorer intake manifold with explorer injectors. It made a great improvement. The explorer one's I have are 19 pounds like stock, but they atomize the fuel better.

    Best intake manifold for a stockish engine?

    Yup. They atomize the fuel a lot better. In fact, after completing the swap, my exhaust fumes are not even half has potent as they used to be with the stock intake and fuel injectors.

    What sounds good.

    I went from old flowmaster 2 1/4 catback to the 2 1/2 catback and it's much louder with the same brand, which is 40 series 2 chamber flowmasters. I like it also, since it matches my 2 1/2 inch off road x pipe. X pipe is louder and better for engines producing serious power. :thinking...
