    holy burritos.. its been almost 2 years since i've been here. i forgot about this thread lol im going back to the states for a visit again in august ..i may try to take the heads off the 65 coupe 289 and get hardened valve seats in it..and of course new valve seallllllllllllssss

    289 smoke in valve covers not out of tailpipe what to do?

    hello.. the problem my 65 coupe with a 289 has really bad and missing valve seals.engine has like 90.ooo original miles. i cant open it up to deeply right now.. the car smokes out of the tube that comes out of the valve cover and is thus using oil,,,,seals are leaking bad there. if i...

    the 68 coupe..the steering wheel set up with that big hunk of stuff on the 67 makes me prefer the 68.. also the quarterpanel indents .when i look at it on a 67 makes me think it has been in a crash.other wise it is next after a 68....and coupe over fastback anytime...

    my advice is to unhook the battery cable until you get this potively figured out..and be careful even then...i have seen switches that you cant shut off be all kinds of hell to stop a electrical fire.... the last thing you want is alot of wiring going up in flames..these old cars are always...
