i too have JBA setup. it sounds great and the performance was good. i just never liked the location of the O2 sensors. they take longer to warm up so usually, you will get CEL's thrown from time to time involving the O2 sensors...atleast i used to.
a set of long tubes will make it as loud as you can handle...i have the entire JBA set up with the O/R H-pipe and you can hear my car coming from a mile away
I have heard of this issue from plenty of people...seems to be a pretty common thing that no one really notices unless it is "your" car. You know how that goes...

There are a few other 3V spark plugs out there....brisk makes one, ford racing has a colder plug called the 0-degree (i think), and Zex has a colder plug for running juice...may be more but that is all i can think of off the top of my head.
