Rear End step by step take a part

why do you need to take the gears out? you're powder coating the *outside* right? have the rear-end shop swap your gears for you, I'd leave 'em in for now.

at 2 or 3 thousand rpms from a 28# or so flywheel the snout of the input shaft doesn't stand a chance in hell

better bang for buck 347 vs. 351w

in my opinion the details of the individuals plans are where the difference in the $$$ lies, but too many a ford enthusiast foregoes the 351 route fearing that it is "too complicated" or requires "too many swap parts". Only real reason against it is the 80# addition to the nose, and the...

Port-matching intake.. problem with new typhoon intake? (pic inside)

that's worse than mine was before I spent about 4-6 hours cleaning it up. I'd send it back for something with the "edelbrock" name on it.

DO you ice your intake after runing at the track??????

    Realistically, if I buy a ~100k mile 90 lx....

not much more than a typical car, if you're comfortable with the inevitable water pump replacement every 60-80k miles, the shortblock is probably good for 200k miles with regular oil changes, and the annoying things will possibly get to you, like the rear main seal around 100k miles, timing...

DO you ice your intake after runing at the track??????

Have you developed the skills to run back-back runs within a hundredth or so of eachother given equal track/weather conditions? Have you ever put your hand on an upper intake that has been iced with a garbage bag full of ice (say 5+ lbs) on a hot summer day? Have you ever compared that to...
