Bad gas mileage possibly other problems

Well after cleaning the MAF I picked up 6 more MPG. I think the K&N Filter might have coated the MAF sensor. It looked pretty clean but apparently it made a diffrence. - Randy

Bad gas mileage possibly other problems

There's a MPG diffrence between driving "spiritied" and driving like "granny" We are simply saying that even under those "ideal" variables we are still getting 10-14 mpg. Anyone with any comon sense can clearly see something is wrong when MPG is so low. Nothing usefull to contribute to a...

Bad gas mileage possibly other problems

I am in the same boat, except I managed to get 13.8 mpg! I cleaned the maf a year ago and have since switched to a K&N. It seems like since the K&N was on milage went down after a few months. I took apart the maf today and cleaned it with electrical cleaner and compressed air in the car. I...

Will a Mac H pipe bolt up to stock catback?

UPDATE: H pipe is on the car! The H pipe is on the car and I am so glad to finnaly have it sounding the way my 92 5.0 used to sound. The 94-95 are so quiet stock that I'd swear it was a crown victoria of the same year in disguise. - Randy

    Leaking tank, from where?

Why don't you drop the tank when it's almost empty and fill it with some sort of liquid and get a friend to help you rotate it around. You should be able to tell if the tank is leaking at that point. - R

    Leaking tank, from where?

I second that. On every mustang I have ever owned after about 10 years these gaskets just deteriorate and start to leak. The filler gasket will cost you aprox 25.00 from your local ford dealer. You have to drop the tank to replace it. It shouldn't take you more than an hour and 1/2 if you have...

    California Duster?!

The California Duster does not leave tiny scratches beacuse it uses Paraffin Wax on the duster. My only suggestion is that you never use it on a hot car, otherwise the Paraffin wax will leave streaks as it melts against the paint. - Pwr

    meguiar's car wash???

More Important than the brand name or series is the contents of the carwash. High akaline content car wash such as Turtle Wax Zip Carwash will eat wax off more agressively than say mequiars gold class shampoo. For a lot less money you could just use johnson and johnson baby shampoo, as it won't...

Anyone tried the Meguiars Cordless Buffer?

Fords4ME: I wouldn't think of it as just removing wax from the car. What you're trying to accomplish is cleaning the paint and preping it for a polish and a wax. WIth that said I highly recommend you go to http://www.meguiars.com/clinics/clinics_template.cfm and watch Power Polishing Clinic...
