    "Clackity" Noise

Well, the engine is toast so I've been told so a new engine is in the works. At this stage I'm going to get a reconditioned engine which is $2300 delivered to my door. I can't afford to get anything with power at the moment but I'll swap over the bits from the current engine. Anyway, what sort...

    Grill Delete Mesh

Hey Team, My '04 GT had the grill delete when I brought it. I like the look but am a little concerned how unprotected the radiator is. It has minor damage to the fins as it is and I'd like to protect them a bit more. Has anyone done anything like this before? I was thinking along the lines of...

Electrical Issue (battery draining over 2 nights)

There maybe other fuses around. If the meter isn't zeroed correctly you'll still see a current drop.

    What goes here?

Hey Team, Can anybody tell me what normally goes in this "bolthole"? You can't see it unless the alternator is removed and goes into the head. I can't remember removing anything from here when I took the head off but water does come out of here when the engine is running.

    "Clackity" Noise

Here is another video with the valve cover off the bank that I replaced the head gasket on. Something that's not very clear in the video is that the oil is milky... water in the oil? Also, where is the oil pressure switch in relation to the oil filter? My oil pressure gauge says all is good...

    "Clackity" Noise

yeah, that's the line I was thinking, which is why I mentioned that it sorted of sounded like tappets of old. I compared the old gasket with the replacement and they were the same so I'm not sure why I'd be having a "no oil" issue. And yes, I did put oil back in :)

    "Clackity" Noise

Ok, engine is back together after replacing the head gasket but when I started it there is a "clackity clackity" sound coming from the engine. I don't think it is the valves hitting the pistons as the engine turns over by hand smoothly. Other than the "clackity" sound the engine sounds fine and...

    Who's Changed Their Head Gaskets?

I was driving it on the highway and started to hear a bit of a knock under acceleration (not hard). Looked at the cluster and the temp was hard to the right. Pulled off and found a spot to park. Crap loads of water coming from the reservoir ( the cap had popped off) and a load of steam coming...

    Who's Changed Their Head Gaskets?

Hey team, Well, it looks as though I'll be changing my headgasket (maybe both?) on my '04 GT myself as I ain't paying $1300 for something I should be able to do myself. So, I'd like to know of any pitfalls to look out for. Basically I see the job as being: Remove accessories Remove the headers...

    What To Look For

Haha :D No not Australia but New Zealand, right next door. The username is a nickname I've had for several years and the explanation is long and boring! :-) Mustangs are very expensive in NZ and although I've always liked them (my cousin has two, numbers matching '69 fastbacks!) it was something...

    What To Look For

Hey Team, Well, after being here in the US for a couple of years I'm finally going to be getting the ass into gear and getting myself a Mustang in the next couple of months. What I'll be looking at is a '99-'04, hopefully a GT but I'll be more than happy with a V6 at this stage. The advice...

    6 To 8 Conversion

Hi There, I'll be moving to the US early next year and one of the first things I'll be buying is a Mustang :-) While I want a late 60s eventually I'm looking at a 4th Gen to start of with. My question is, is it possible to convert a 3.8 6cylinder to the 4.6 or 5.0? Are the wiring looms the...
