    LOL dude the EEC pulls codes for a reason. Don't just clear'em and expect it to fix itself. The O2 sensor(s) might very-well be 'effed up. Try replacing both.. hell if that doesn't work, just clean'em off and take them right back and return'em. :nice:

    I wouldn't be, if you're plannin' on puttin down any kind of REAL power, 3550's are garbage :notnice: Not to mention, you can bolster the f**k out of even a BW T5 with the right parts. (billet thrust plate, steel bearing retainer, hardened input shaft, steel forks, etc.)

    Yeah what he said, but, pull the codes (if there are any) and check your O2 sensors, they might be givin the ECM bad readings and causing it to run too rich.

    What kind'a heads have you got? E7's? If they're stock Ford heads at all, that'd be the first thing I'd check (valve guide seals). And oil on the spark plug threads isn't a bad thing, means someone was thinking about making the job easier next time the plugs had to be changed lol.

    Not a bad swap idea'r, however, if you're gonna be upwards of 6-700hp, a TH400 or a 'Glide's the way to go. I converted my '85 LX from a GForce T5 to an AODE. If you wanna make it easy and not have to worry about a tv cable or any of that bs, get cha a manual and/or tranny brake valve body...
