    it's a bad caliper. and if you got it smoking you also need too get your wheel bearings checked aswell. it could have cooked them. the only other thing it could be is a bad rubber brake line.

    i went through 3 of the spec 3+ on my naturally asparated v6. all three of them gave in 3rd gear, and the pressure plate bands would break. i now have a centerforce dual friction and have had no problems. i'm waiting on my fidanza aluminum flywheel to come in. we will see how that goes. lol good...

    yes, it does need a tune. whether you buy a tuner and do it yourself or have someone else tune it for you, you really need it tuned for it.

    it sounds like there is an electrical connection getting moisture built up in it and making it send a false or bad signal. basically short out. i use alot of dialectic grease for stuff like that.
