    Tires For A 66

    I am using 16x8 American Racing rims with 4.5 inch back spacing on the front and back with no rubs or issues. Tires are 225VR16. +1 on the Dodgestang site for what will work. Nick put a lot of work into the spreadsheet.

    I used a 16 inch fan from Speedway and it pulls 2500 cfm. I also went with an over sized 20 inch aluminum radiator. The 66 can idle all day in 100 degree heat with no problem. Pics and info: http://chris66dad.tripod.com/id39.html

    I cut 1 1/2 inches off of the radiator support on each side to open up the airflow. I also had to drill new mounting holes. This is not a mod if you want to maintain an "Original" car.

    I modified my 66 to accept a 20 inch 1967 aluminum radiator. I had to cut the radiator to open it up but later found others have not done this. I bought my radiator from Mustang Steve when he was sell them. I can idle all day in 100 degree weather and never overheat Pics and info here...
