Yeah, it was Raven Black (code A up until 1971) and it was a standard color on all Mustangs, not just Shelbys. The Black Hornet is a very cool car indeed. Still like the original Green Hornet for it's historic value, but the new one would certainly be fun to drive. :D

I've had good luck with the DP40. And yes, you can use filler either under or over it according to the PPG tech sheet. Can't answer the question of the e-coat, but will be watching the thread to see what others say about how to prep that.

The rivets could easily be replaced, but you'd have a hard time finding the perfect replacement for the original. So upon VERY close inspection you might notice they'd been changed. Another option is to grind off the backside of the rivets (your 2nd pic) and then epoxy everything back...

I would try the carriage bolt option first also. From the underside that's exactly what it looks like. The top might need to be modified depending on what the inside of the fog housing looks like, but hopefully it's not too bad. Are these going on the higher pedestal mounts like the GT/CS cars...

Looking good. I was going to say your stance still seems pretty high in the front considering you installed 1" dropped coils, but then I realized you don't have the engine in yet! :) It's cool to see the side by side comparison of the rear axles. It really shows how much beefier the 9" is...

Were there Monster Garage cars auctioned at this year's BJ? I didn't see any, but didn't watch every day. There were several that crossed the auction block last year at BJ and I was able to view most in person. They were pieces of junk IMHO. I had seen the build-up episodes on some of them...
