    1968 Shelby Black Hornet

Yeah, it was Raven Black (code A up until 1971) and it was a standard color on all Mustangs, not just Shelbys. The Black Hornet is a very cool car indeed. Still like the original Green Hornet for it's historic value, but the new one would certainly be fun to drive. :D

    Which Epoxy Primer?

I've had good luck with the DP40. And yes, you can use filler either under or over it according to the PPG tech sheet. Can't answer the question of the e-coat, but will be watching the thread to see what others say about how to prep that.

    1968 "W" Code production numbers

I'd trust the Marti report before the Ford 999 any day. 75% of the 999 reports I've ordered were incorrect in one way or another, although usually more minor then what size engine.

    Selling car need advice

Glad it worked out for you pushrod. Yes, wire transfer is the best way for the seller, but can be not so good for the buyer. On another forum is a recent tale of someone (out of country) who bought a car from a seller in the states. He wired the money and then....nothing. Seller was a scammer...

    What Welder to get?

I personally don't agree that you need a 220 welder as stated in that older thread. For what sj9ers says he wants to do with it (ie. floor pans and filling holes) a 110 will do just fine. Combine that with the fact that he's a first time welder and on a budget and I would doubly recommend the...

Replacement stems for Lucas fog lights?

The rivets could easily be replaced, but you'd have a hard time finding the perfect replacement for the original. So upon VERY close inspection you might notice they'd been changed. Another option is to grind off the backside of the rivets (your 2nd pic) and then epoxy everything back...

California Special with an SLC DSO?

The 1968 GT/CS was delivered to the following DSO's: 53 (Kansas City) 61 (Dallas) 71 (L.A.) 72 (San Jose) 73 (Salt Lake) 74 (Seattle) 75 (Phoenix) B6 (Canada) B7 (Canada) And the 1968 HCS (sister car to the GT/CS) all had a DSO of 51 (Denver)

Replacement stems for Lucas fog lights?

I would try the carriage bolt option first also. From the underside that's exactly what it looks like. The top might need to be modified depending on what the inside of the fog housing looks like, but hopefully it's not too bad. Are these going on the higher pedestal mounts like the GT/CS cars...

Updated Pictures And Status Of My Project

Looking good. I was going to say your stance still seems pretty high in the front considering you installed 1" dropped coils, but then I realized you don't have the engine in yet! :) It's cool to see the side by side comparison of the rear axles. It really shows how much beefier the 9" is...

    Barrett Jackson thoughts

Were there Monster Garage cars auctioned at this year's BJ? I didn't see any, but didn't watch every day. There were several that crossed the auction block last year at BJ and I was able to view most in person. They were pieces of junk IMHO. I had seen the build-up episodes on some of them...

    1st pics posted

Looks really good. How about a list of mods? Engine? Trans? Looks like a nice restomod judging by the wheels and bucket seats. Anything else planned? And how did you strip it? Doesn't look like blasting, so maybe a lot of late night elbow grease? :) Doesn't look like the body panels were too...
