    Tune vs Warranty after reflash

Does ford offer any tunes that they cover? The BAMA tune seems like the only safe way to go if they truly stand behind what they say.

Gone 10 Years.. About To Buy A New Stang.. Advice Please!

Well I have been gone for a looong time.. I am very close to buying a new 2014 stang. Although I have always raced 5 speeds I am looking at automatics.. I drive 2 hours every day in traffic! If anyone can give me some advice please do. I have found a GT premium for just under 30k With Leather...

Bad vibration at 3000 RPM's and up

The only axel bearings I know of are the ones pressed into the axle tube part of the rear end. The carrier also has its own set of bearings. I would pickup a polyuerathne (sp?) mount for the tranny. I avoid these mounts on the SN95 cars as ive had them introduce new vibes but the crossmember...

Bad vibration at 3000 RPM's and up

Those U-joints should be able to move very freely without rough spots. If you got a buddy with a stang see if you can try his drive shaft.. atleat then you can rule it out.

Bad vibration at 3000 RPM's and up

Man thats a driveline vibe no matter how you look at it.. that sounds just like bad U-joints. Ive had it happen to me on two different cars exactly how you describe it. Do me a favor and try this. Get up under your car and remove the 4 bolts on the end of the drive shaft (at the rearend)...

    Best Streetable blower cam

I had bennett racing do me a custom grind cam shaft.. all it was is that lunati cam with a 4 degree advance ground in. I had 1.90/1.60 valves in my edelbrocks and was putting down 315 rwhp with a bone stock shortblock. I would think with those TRW pistons you would have some extra room and...

Bad vibration at 3000 RPM's and up

Take the pedastals to a machine shop and have them surface the bottoms as little as they can. If they go to much you will have to get a shim kit and really spend some time setting them up. I wish we could here how loud they are becuase ive heard alot of roller rockers that are just plain...

Bad vibration at 3000 RPM's and up

Not sure which poster we are talking about on this one but if the vibe is when sitting still it can be a number of things. First thing I recommend is removing the surpentine belt and reving the car up to see if it goes away. Atleast then you can eliminate the front acc. Check your front...

Bad vibration at 3000 RPM's and up

If you pull the drive shaft out and run it through the gears your gonna lose some tranny fluid out the back... id wiggle the pinion around and see if it moves or feels loose. Valve noise... do you have roller rockers on this car? They tend to be louder then the stocks. Are you getting a...

Only way it can cause a voltage drop is if there is a resistance across the fuse. I will ohm one out and see if there is any real resistance but im willing to bet its minimal and you would probably see no SPL drop even if you did have one. This car has a very small stereo upgrade with no amps...

Bad vibration at 3000 RPM's and up

You have no vibration when sitting still and revving the motor up slowly? Kinda gotta follow everything we mentioned above. Hopefully who ever did your gears set them up right and they got a good wear pattern. On these older foxes I always replaced the carrier and pinion bearings if they were...

Bad vibration at 3000 RPM's and up

Agreed, that would cause some noise/vibes also.... all else fails.. bring it to a shop and have them diagnose the problem and then if you can, do the repairs your self. Im starting to think pinion bearing but again you would feel that in the shifter big time.

This is strait out of the "Big 3" upgrade sticky on sounddomain. 2) When fusing your alternator to battery positive wire, fuse it toward the battery end of the wire. As IMTfox points out later in this thread, the battery will explode if it's overloaded, while the alternator will only burn out...

Now that I think about it.... doesnt the "Big 3" require you to fuse between the alt and battery?

4 guage ok for battery relocation?

Ok it looks like we are either running 2 gauge or 1/0 gauge. I have 4 gauge from the alt already but need to go back and 150amp fuse it which is no problem. Thanks for the info. The car already has the battery relocated but the wire has gotten hot and melted in some places so we want to do it...
