quick question about SVE cobra brake kit

Keep this in mind. Your 15" spare will not fit over the new calipers. You'll need to go to the Cobra style spare or get a 5th wheel.

    U Joint Question

Yes they can. Kind of a "cyclic", squawking sound especially at real low speeds. This usually occurs when they are dry of grease. If they are OEM, have no grease fittings and have some years on them, just replace 'em. If equipped with the fittings, grease them and see if the sound persists. GT

94-98 those that put on the Mach 1 chin spoiler...

I left it all on. The center section of the original is really a cooling aid directing air to the rad/condenser so removal of it to me was not considered. I guess you could remove the outboard sections though. GT

I need a cannister purge solenoid. JY option?

OH! It appears the 5.0 cars don't have this item. My bad. This is a sensor located in-line between the purge solenoid and the vacuum source at the TB on the '96+ cars that verifies flow in the system. No flow = CEL. I only assumed the 5.0's had this item. Learn something new evey day. GT

NAPA stocks the exact OEM purge solenoid and flow sensor by Eichlin. They even sport the Ford logo. GT

alignment needed for bigger/wider wheels & tires???

Yes! When I swapped from the std. 16 x 7.5 wheels on my '98 GT to the polished 17 x 8 cobra wheels, some "toe" wear started to show some time later. I had the alignment checked and the toe was slightly toed out. I didn't think there would be an issue with the change but, there was a slight...

Car burning oil? (Thinking of replacing valve seals)

Do a compression test on it. Remember, a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. Since you rebuilt the heads, the piston rings are now the weak link & may fail. I have seen a few engines drop the rings due to valve jobs in my time. Good luck.... GT
