Project 67 Coupe is in the thinking phase: Thinking Phase 1, motor

To hit those numbers the car is not going to be a great daily driver, even if it just every once in awhile. My good friend built a radical "street" chevy with a big block making 680 hp to the ground, great drag car, nightmare on the street, and the car was built right. You could go with a little...

Project 67 Coupe is in the thinking phase: Thinking Phase 1, motor

I have a friend that just built a 331 NA with webbers and just about everything you can do to get HP out of a Small Block while making sure it won't blow up every 500 miles and he is pushing about 500HP so 660 HP is going to be hard to hit.

67 Fastback body on 2005+ chassis?

I don't see why you would not just graft a fiberglass body like this one to the 05 chassis it would work much better, and I know some people hate fiberglass but it would be much easier to work with, modify, and it may even save you some weight. Fiberglass Reproduction Body Panels

    1970 Mustang Project

What you have in that picture are the standard rocker panels on the 1970 Grande package Mustang. It was a Bright Rocker Panel Molding with a vinyl (sticker) insert. However, rocker panels without the vinyl inster were optional on all body styles in 1970.

air coming thru vents..... hot air!!

I would check under the dash to see if the vents are closing all the way, sometimes the cables can get loose and not close it all the way, also depending on what is missing from your A/C system you could be drawing in hot air from the engine compartment. While you are down there check the seals...

    1970 Grande (Just one convertible?)

You could order a Convertible with all the Grande trim except for the Houndstooth cloth seats, otherwise everything was just Deluxe interior, sports mirrors, a black taxture panel between the tail lamps, and a few pinstripes and emblems.

    Scam?

Is it local? More the likely it is a scam, but I had a woman call me one time to sell a old Mustang. When I got there it was a 1970 Boss 302 with all the number matching. She only wanted $2,500 for it, but she was in a bad way since her husband died so I made some calls and got hera fair price...

Business must not be too bad for dealers....

Having worked at dealerships in the past, one of the reasons that many cost more is because of the Unions that have gotten into the ranks of mechanics in the parts and service departments and jack the costs up. The union protested in front of a dealer I worked with for months because they did...
