    coasting downhill in neutral...

so who told you that? they lied. no engine braking means trucks can't use their jake brake because it's loud as hell. In my area it's typically on county or state roads that have houses and commercial truck traffic.

    coasting downhill in neutral...

if you never pass 2000 rpm, buying a prius would help your fuel consumption and performance should be about the same.

Clearcoat and Fenders - a question

are you positive they actually cleared over the vinyl? If so, as cagle said, removing them will be a total dog. I know we would never clear over vinyl at my place (or any place i know of)

PAINT PROBLEMS THAT FORD KNOWS ABOUT

IF YOU WANT TO SUBMIT ANYTHING IN WRITING TO FORD I WOULD ADVISE NOT USING ALL CAPS, IT MAKES IT VERY ANNOYING TO READ.

    Crap Flaps

looks pretty cool, i prefer the look of tape instead of those, but such a quick install/removal is definately a real nice advantage. permanent mudflaps are for pickup trucks. The only thing i would say, i'd want the screws going through holes, not just a slot, i want no chance of those flying...

some minor mods on the way

getting the lights professionally tinted isn't the cheapest route, but it definitely looks the best. Make sure it gets done at a very good place that will tint them right, and will buff the final product for a good finish. Some taillights require alot of sanding and prep to remove casting...

    Staggered or not?

i bought everything as a package for $1500 to my door from wheelreplica.com, though their website is pretty bad. well i honestly dont think i have enough sidewall on my car, but because the 30 and 35 is a ratio of the 265 and 295 width, a 265-35 and 295-30 is almost identical sidewall height.

    Staggered or not?

295-30-20 on 20x10's in the rear, 265-35-20 on 20x8.5's in the front. the rears are awesome, look like steamrollers, the fronts are a bit too skinny for me. you don't rotate, if you get non directional tires you can go side to side but that's about it. the benefits are having wider tires in...

may want to edit this thread so it's spelled emblem, not trying to be a jerk but it looks closer to embalm and i was excited for a very interesting thread (hint: Mozilla Firefox has a spellchecker built in) ok so moving on to helpful: check out americanmuscle.com's website, they have "customer...

Will a programmer take care of..........

GTS was a one year "lightweight" GT for 95. basically just a stripped car (cloth seats, no wing, no foglights, anything power is an option (including ABS, windows, locks, defrost). they had it other years but called it different things. well actually, it was your wife that said i should...

Will a programmer take care of..........

I hated the throttle on my car when i first bought it. Coming from a cable driven 95GTS, the slow reacting drivebywire made SO mad! programmer got rid of all the problems. My car blips fine now, and throttle response is great! get a tuner for sure. apparently everyone says the lightweight...

How are these cars for daily drivers????

bluecar said it best.... the only problem with daily driving these cars is being terrified to park and leave it around normal people. It has excellent roadmanners... i tell people its like a cadillac on the highway, but a ferarri on the ramps. Anybody can drive these cars in the rain as long...

Mustang Mod Noob Needs Help (Tailights + Exaust)

thanks, the striping was actually done by the previous owner, who had a few posts here. (i just did alot to finish, pinstripe, new bumper, shaving spoiler, etc) just a note for you on the antenna, how often do you listen to the radio? i hear shorty antennas get very bad reception. I have...

Mustang Mod Noob Needs Help (Tailights + Exaust)

At the place i work, 402 motoring, we've been spraytinting taillamps for years. If you do have them sprayed i suggest doing it at a real nice, licensed place with a spraybooth, not some backyard operation. legality varies per state, often it is a grey area, we have cars all across the country...

IS THERE A WAY AROUND THE TPMS ?

it could be worse... this month's sportscar magazine had an article about these. apparently new corvettes (and possibly future hondas) will not allow the car to enter sport mode or disable traction control if the sensors are tripped (low or high pressure, or missing sensors, all things that we...
