Widest Possible Tires on the new 5.0..??

Nice try :) . I've run door to door with the Corvette Challenge group on several occassions and ranked high. It's actually shocking how few cobras come out to open track events. It's sad really. And then the few jokers I'm talking about with horribly offset wheels have tire sticking a good...

Widest Possible Tires on the new 5.0..??

I guess what I'm shooting for is--> Front: 18x10" wheels 275/35-18 tires Rear: 18x11" wheels 315/30-18 tires If tires of this magnitude can't fit under the ride it'll never out-corner my S... So does anybody have experience with max fitment?

Widest Possible Tires on the new 5.0..??

Hey everyone, I kinda fell from grace about 5 years back. I used to be on stangnet everyday with my '65 mustang fastback. But I somehow got sucked into road racing and have been dominating in my Honda S2k.... I KNOW I KNOW  At any rate, I've gotten to the point with my S where I...

    SoCal bodyshop help...

I've built several cars in my time, but i've never needed to deal with extensive body shop work on any of my own cars. So all the work i've had done has been below about $2k. Because of this, I've always paid up front, nothing special, nothing new. I now have a project car that i'm working...

TCP- Manual R/P steering opinions please!

Before the panhard kit, I was running a Mustangs Plus 3/4" rear sway bar. It was better than the stock suspension setup. Having said that, because my rear is so darn light the sway bar made it way to easy to kick the rear side to side. AND, the "U" shaped bracket that connects the control link...

TCP- Manual R/P steering opinions please!

haha...sorry I gutted the interior....I have a dash, and all the vertical interior panels....but the rear seat is gone, the carpet & insulation (including the trunk) is gone...oh oh I have the headliner still :) All the engine parts minus the crank and block(306cid) are aluminum; my rear-end...

TCP- Manual R/P steering opinions please!

welp when i first got my fastback I was 15 and was under a somewhat limited budget.....So I went through the suspension/chassis with a conservative cost track/street setup. Keep in mind i did all the work myself and plotted it all out on a limited budget.... Front: I drilled out the upper...

TCP- Manual R/P steering opinions please!

From the sound of it, while the Manual R/P requires a little extra effort at first (slow speeds) it comes alive once you get up to speed. .....I've been tracking all the TCP products since their inception and trust their quality...... so I think I'll go ahead and pick a manual kit, and make...

TCP- Manual R/P steering opinions please!

MY biggest concern and reason for wanting a more precise steering system in the first place is: I NEED the feel of an accurate and communicative weighted steering system at high speeds. The power steering of an older Mustang REALLY doesn't cut it in quick manuevering situations. So that's why...

TCP- Manual R/P steering opinions please!

So I rebuilt the power steering in my 65 fastback about 5 years back with a flaming rivers quick steer box, polyurethan bushings and several other worn out comonents.....While the steering definitely felt more responsive, it never had a tactile feel. .....Fast forward 5 years to the present...

What's your Biggest Bang for your Buck Mod ???

Wellllllllll I hope I'm not alienating anyone here, but my original question was aimed at V8 models: GT, Bullitt, GT-500. You know guys, the one thing I haven't heard yet is clutch. ALTHOUGH I consider myself a bleed-blue ford guy :flag:, I also have an S2000. And I've got to say, after 3...

What's your Biggest Bang for your Buck Mod ???

Like the title suggests, I would like to see if I could gather together a general consensus on what your biggest bang for the buck modification has been on your S-197. It would be awesome if you guys could shout out your favorite mod thus far. My only exception is power adders. Power adders...

Thanx for the $.2.....but you're right, that isn't much help  At this point in time, I think I'm going to start calling retailers and asking them to weight the wheels for me.....

    FR500 Wheel Weights

yeah, I'm sticking with the 17's because my ride's pretty slammed so fender gap isn't an issue. And smaller wheels weigh less soooooo....... Any guys retailing these wheels wanna put them on a scale real quick??

    FR500 Wheel Weights

So yeah, there are pictures aplenty of the FR500 wheels on mustangs here. But how much do these wheels weigh????? The replica's are inexpensive which is what makes them so enticing, but adversly heavy wheels are definitely a turn off. QUESTION: How much do replica FR500 17x9" & 17x10.5"...
