15x7 styled steel wheels from wheel vintiques?

Can anyone give me their experience with wheel vintiques/coker styled steel rims? Mainly asking about chrome failing rusting out like my Scott Drake ones did after only a year.

    Aftermarket styled steel wheels

I was hoping to not have different brands front and rear, but it looks like that will be the way to go in the short term. Grip would be nice. This car was my daily driver for 11 years, but no more. I probably wouldnt wear out even a set of soft tires. Right now the main consideration is "can I...

    Aftermarket styled steel wheels

I have not, thanks! Looks like what I am looking for. But now Im finding issues with replacement tires in the sizes that I shoehorned/fitted. Front tires are 225/50r15s. rears 265/50r15. Had BF goodrich TAs 20 years ago. It seems that not only does Bf goodrich no longer make these sizes, it...

    Aftermarket styled steel wheels

Well...it seems its been over 15 years since I posted last. Going to start working on the 67 again. First step is tires as the ones on it are terrifyingly old...maybe 20 years now. But along with that my rims are shot. I bought them from NPD about 20 years ago and they rusted in just over a...

Need some help IDing a wire, 1960 Tbird

Working on this for a friend. Recently took it to a local "classic and hotrod specialty" place....boy did they screw him over. Did almost no work, charged a bunch of money. I digress. Anyway, when looking at it today I found a yellow wire that is part of the loom that goes to the generator...

I need some real help here...got mold in my interior....

The interesting thing from my experience is the SAME looking mold grew in 2 different environments that are almost 200 miles apart. Due to the way the cars were stored, there is very little chance one infected the other. Just more food for thought. The dish to test would be something good to...

I need some real help here...got mold in my interior....

As an additional update, I checked on the thunderbird (second car that got infected). It has not been in the barn and has been in my side yard ford the last few months. On pavement, not covered, gets direct morning sunlight until about 1pm. There were areas of mold that I did not wipe down...

I need some real help here...got mold in my interior....

I thought I had posted this. But I guess not. 2 levels of updates. I finally finished off the garage and then kept the humidity out a little bit better. I then bought a dehumidifier. One of the R2D2 looking ones, not a small one mind you. I set it in the car and would run it 12 hours a day...

    70 fastback body/frame FS $100

In orlando. The car was orginally a 302 auto fastback. The rearend and roof were rough so another wrecked donor car was purchased and the roof and rear quarters cut off. The goal was to rebuild the car...that was about 20 years ago. Now its good for patch panels and such. It is half of one...

why would my gas mileage change based on how I fill up?

well, winter in florida does not really count as winter:rolleyes: ...I would be more worried about monsoon water entering the tank! And you would think that if there was a reduction in fuel pressure I would actually be running lean and have better gas milage and misfires. Runs just fine (when...

why would my gas mileage change based on how I fill up?

This is in my 94 mazda mx6. 2.5fi manual 5 speed with overdrive and regular distributor. As far as I can tell, if I run an entire tank of gas out and check the milage I will get about 1.5mpg less than if I fill up every time I get to a half a tank. Usually mpg is about 23 if I measure it...

Where does the Cowl Drain ?

dont use the magnetic ones. They stick to the paint and will pull apart...dont ask how I know. something my dad did when we were working on the 67 back in 90 was to use an old pump style garden sprayer. You know the kind that you use to spray weeds and bugs. took tar in the gallon can...

Re: The crashed mustang in S Carolina

not usually, but a few! I have thought about doing some getto replicas for years. Figured a 4 door maverick would work great for the yellow xbs, and a torino would do a pretty good job at making an xb interceptor!
