Fox body - godzilla, coyote, or 408w stroker - Best route for budget build?

I may be completely wrong but I think the coyote would be the cheapest route here and a solid choice. A gen 1 or gen 2 can be picked up for roughly 5-6k with the transmission complete drop in. You will need to use a control pack but really nothing to expensive. You are already starting with a v6...

    Progress Thread severe97's Project Thread!

Likely have more air in the system. Jack the front of the car up, remove radiator cap start the car let it run and watch for it to burp. If you did this while its on the ground flat the radiator may not be the highest point in the system trapping air in the engine.

    Torque box reinforcement with cage?

Yes it’s still a good idea the cage won’t help support the torque boxes but will help stiffen the chassis. Sub frame connectors are almost required in a foxbody as well. Good luck with your project

What kind of gas mileage does everyone get?

I feel like you can do a little better than that with some minor adjustments. My turbo 363” 160lb injectors th400 4.11 gets 12 mpg but my cruise mph is limited

Stand alone vs chip tune (for noob)

I run 2 cars on holley and happy with the both of them. The cruiser has a terminator X and the sporty cruiser had a HP now has a dominator waiting to install. I have been using holley efi since 2012 never a hickup and only a couple wideband sensor failures likely due to Q16. Proven to be a great...

Been a while since I’ve been on the forum but I’ve been involved with foxes since the early 2000s. Been viewing cars and parts for sale over the past few years and it’s just amazing to me how much things have gone up. I understand inflation may play a part but I am talking gt 40 intakes, ford...

Does ok for footbraking. Usually goes 1.31. I switched fuels and put 1 degree in it and that was its response.

Yeah, will always be a street car. Going to smooth the engine bay also finally. Had a bit of a accident a few weeks back and broke the balancer again and banged up the headers pretty good so fixing that up too.
