Mine has been parked for 10 months with either a spun bearing or bad timing tensioner. Getting ready to start putting together the lower mileage shortblock and do the 5 speed conversion. Putting in some bbk shorties while I am at it.

I parked mine in November and am wondering why. December was the driest ever and so far January hasn't been much of a winter either. At least I am keeping miles off of it and am gathering a nice pile of parts to throw on in February and March. 5 speed conversion, & cobra steering rack so far...

Get a scanner and run the codes, you can usually borrow one from an auto parts store, have you washed the engine lately? I usually end up with codes afterwards and have to pull my plugs and regap them afterwards. They seem to have a lot of issues with the plugs in these motors.

Given the choice I think you did well. I got my LE for a steal a few years ago, ($4500 with 108 k miles), it's a shame they butchered up that LE.

They make reproductions, or you can have it painted on which seems to be a popular option.

I have a good friend that works at a dealership, he went through all the diecasts he has collected over the years and had a matching diecast for my car. So at least I have that now.

Looks like mine will get a break for the winter, just picked up an 88 4 cyl notch for $200, runs like a champ but looks like hell. Just need to revive the suspension and throw some snows on and my LE will get to hibernate for the next 4 months. That should help make up for driving around for a...

did you pull the whole door panel off first to get to it or does the trim panel come off first? I have to change a lock actuator anyway so not a big deal either way I just don't want to break anything in the process.

Parked mine in the garage the other night with Exactly 124000 miles.

X2, mine is coming loose from the back panel and needs to be resprayed. What color did you use? I am thinking about just getting some GT panels and doing something custom until I can get mine a perfect match.

Just rolled into 123k... only 27k more to go and I'll drop a 4v in. :D
