    Major short to ground will do that, had a bad starter that did that, cooked the terminal right off.

    Spray with h/c/i???

    I hope i'm not putting my foot in my mouth but what do you mean by h/c/i? I'm not a fan of spray but just my opinion due to lack of experience. The fuel upgrades with a moderately sized blower would make a nice daily driver but would cost more than a bottle but would get you to your 300 mark.

    Cracked lower cap

    Crack on the base of your dizzy? Other than allowing some moisture or dust in migration nothing to bad, just seal it up or swap with a good used one.

    Spacer Plate ???

    You mean the block/back plate? Yea its kind of important for proper spacing for the starter etc. I think the Ford part # is D9ZZ-7007-A.

    I'm not sure if its required if anything i would think the hangers on the existing H pipe will need to be moved but thats it. Good muffler shop should be able to do that.

    New Car! with a few issues...

    I had the switch on my older Stang actually kind of heat up and melt so its a good call to replace the switch just to see if it fixes it for the little it costs, i waste more money on less productive things... so my wife says.

    MonroeMatic Struts any good?

    KYB's GR2's are reasonably priced at 60ea for strut and 43ea for the shocks for a comparison. I'm happy with my KYB AGX's but they cost 123ea and 90ea respectively and i am a "spirited" daily driver. I have used Monroe before on my 87 GT and was relatively happy with them.

    Well i got the suspension done and some small upgrades to the drivetrain so i think i will get a motor from DSS spec'd for boost and get it in over the winter and post my results in spring when i feed him his 60G car.

    Emblem help

    Holes in the fender? Can't you just go over the hole with the new emblem regardless of the stud? Where did you get them? I got mine from ford and they got them... well let me go check, there still in the glovie.

    The more i drive this i dont think its the pump, it "appears" only the happen when turning left and the thing worked perfect before the upgrades. Only happens when slowing down and turning left. Weird!

    All good suggestions, my intial thought was motor and if i ended up needing more at sometime then i can add the blower when needed. Theres just something about 450 NA that appeals to me not to mention reliable 450. I certainly don't want to say moneys no object but its been a good many years...

    The kit with bellhousing, cross member, shifter and driveshaft is 3800 and you would need a 26t clutch, zoom is 350. For me i would like the extra gear and torque capacity but i to have no experience with this one... yet.

    Is the power to the coil intermittent? Loose wire?
