    Had another no start day. Started fine at home in the morning, went to work & no start at lunch. Towed it home, cleaned all the grounds I could find & it starts again. Gotta love the free fix. Going to the pull-a-part this afternoon to see what I can find.

    Could this be a timing belt? Would explain the fast cranking. Well I think its fast, normally I just bump the key & its running. I looked & the belt is still there but could be broken & didn't get tossed.

    Well, this is on hold untill spring. Results anyway. I'll be finishing most of whats listed above over the winter, make sure everything is working right in the spring Try to get to the track & get some numbers at that point & then put the MS in & start tuning.

    The only thing I see that stands out is the fuel pump. 150lph seems a bit small, most run a 255lph high pressure pump. That could easily be causing a lean condition/detonation.

    Sounds like detonation to me. 15# really isn't a lot of boost if you have an intercooler but something is causing it. Broken off out by the rings? Any speckles on the spark plugs? Whats your timing set at? Fuel octane rating? Have an IC? What computer/VAM/injectors? Turbo or n/a head? Any more...

    Any more details other than "runs like $#!+", like missing, cuts out, black smoke, rotten egg smell from exhaust, gradual or sudden change to no power... Hows the fuel mileage? I'm getting ~20mpg beating the car & driving ~1mi to work so it never really gets warmed up.

    Yep, just gotta drive it like you hate it. Forget to lift when you shift to 2nd, works almost every time. Actually had mine break loose from a ~15mph roll in the rain. Must have been a 2.3 power perfect storm, bad tires, just started to rain & a strong cross wind. :rlaugh:
