I'm new to restoring but I 2nd that while the paint is pretty great on my car I bought this thing as a work in progress from another guy and I'm having to go thru alot of stuff he did and redo it.

I have a 1969 coupe with a 302.Right now it has the old rusty looking exhaust manifolds bleh.In the future I wanna add some headers but the catch is I want some that i wont have to do any modding under the hood to get them to fit.I'm gonna replace all the pipe and mufflers to so the length etc...

I bought the performer intake and 4v carb for my 302 with a 1 inch spacer.I fit tested everything earlier the spacer hasn't arrived yet but I used a piece of metal I had that was slighty wider than 1 inch to put between carb and intake and it appears mine is gonna fit with about an inch or 2 to...

yeah I finally figured that out when new intake arrived lol.Now only thing is do I want that old crappy looking blue tree on top of my shiny new edelbrock......hmmm

Well nm my new intake finally arrived and it looks like the tree will screw right in without even needing that piece.

How tall is the spacer ?

The tree is still useable I need the adapter piece that it screws into as the old one is kinda screwed up (i egg shaped it)Heres a better picture the tree screws into this adapter I'll call it that is screwed into the manifold.

I need the part circled in this picture and while I know what it is for I can not as much as I try remember the name.

While i'm not a big fan of putting efi in old cars I have to say thats a nice setup.

O another question.Is it ok to turn the motor by trying to crank it to get the cylinders in firing order?While I've worked on alot of engines I've never adjusted rockers.I found what you was talking about in my manual but it only covers with engine pulled and tore down.
