    You do not need taipipes, although the emissions folks will like you better if you do. The lady at the emissions place in South Hill gave me a hard time about it.

    stang2b, don't forget you're going to have to notch the hood in order for the supercharger to clear. If you got an instruction manual it will show you where. As for sound, they're pretty quiet.

    If I'm not mistaken, you can run a 175 or 185 R 15 on them. They're a Volkswagen Beetle (old one) tire.

    KB's are great for the street. The reason that a lot of people go with a centrifugal (Vortech, ATI, Paxton) is that they make more total horsepower, but you really have to get on it to do it. The twin screw makes instant boost, but they don't keep building boost throughout the power curve...

    Car is popping/backfiring on new H/C/I

    Could be a couple things. You may have a vacuum leak somewhere that could cause it to backfire and pop. You could also have the distributor 180 out. I'd go back through and just make sure that everything was bolted up nice and tight, etc.

    I have a Kenne Bell 1500 on my 94 Cobra. It's a daily driver and the only problem I've had is a blown head gasket. It was a pain, but the mechanic said it was just a matter of time before it went anyway. Other than that, the car is as reliable as it ever was and it's got over 98K miles on it...
