Ok it turns out that i did have the cable too tight. Now the car drives perfectly. thanks for the help guys.

After reading a few previous posts on here, it looks like i most likely made the cable too tight so its still engaged. ill readjust it tomorrow.

Ok i replaced my clutch, pressure plate and had my flywheel machined this week. It has a new stock clutch and the engine is all stock too. However, at 75% throttle or more, the clutch starts to slip. i have only driven the car a couple miles so i dont burn it up again. I assume i did not adjust...

The unibody is from an 85, the fenders ect are 89.

Hi im new here, i just bought my first mustang today. Its an 85 5.0 with a 5 speed with an 89 body, engine and interior. It has a short throw shifter, a centerforce clutch and a set of flowmasters. other than that, its pretty much stock. the battery is in the trunk. Bill
