I am truely impressed with your work!!! I just finished making the metal for the engine bay and have a very similar build, What a pita to block the engine bay and filler work I just painted mine last week. I work at a autobody shop so it def helps, and I'm also aware how poorly these cars fit...
Gt40p with fms P headers and te headers hit steering shaft and motor mount. Aode 95gt withsolid motor mounts
Why is it hitting? Need better pics ? Lookis like it could be due to solid mounts but im not sure . Mac headers came off just fine with setup, swapped because
They hit plug wires...
supporting mods are upper and lower track heat intakes, 75mm professional products throttle body, 3.73s, injectors and MAF not bought yet, Tremec TKO, king cobra clutch, long tubes, x pipe, dumps, etc.
Im probably getting the TFS heads...my minds set on them I dont know what cam to get...and what rockers but i cant go crazy im limited by the stock pistons...so ptv cant be an issue. what you guys think im trying to put together a HCI build!!
:nice:
what are my options if i run into ptv issues if i do ill be maxxing out budget and end up pulling out the slugs if i could somehow steer clear of ptv issues that would be great
88 GT MAF conversion car w 3.73s otherwise stock.
For its waiting HCI upgrade, I have track heat upper and lower intakes, 75mm throttle body #24 injectors.
I have everything but the cam, heads, and timing chain.
Stock bottom end car, what heads will work best with my setup without PTV...

he says castrol or penzoil or any quality oil thats merconV or even synthetic is great. But im a little nervous mobil 1 says its not for use in CVT transmissions and MERCON V approved. My wolfshead synthetic is also Mercon V approved, however its "super universal" and says it works in CVT...
I got my trans back transgo shiftkit alto clutches, seals, all new hard parts, TCI converter (saturdaynight special 600rpm stall speed higher than stock) what fluid should i run in it? i can get a case of wolfshead synthetic thru my shop 12 quarts for 44 dollars...mobil 1 is 120 dollars for 12...
im running the same heads im still in the market for a new cam im waiting for a response from comp for a custom grind...im in the same boat as you with a set of trick flow 190cc heads
get an automotive stethescope or a long screwdriver and put it to each pully listening for bearing noise by putting your ear to the screwdriver handle. Take a careful listen you'll find it. is the crank pulley the correct number of ribs? Could be supercharger wine too :D
I have plans for boost in the future and more than likely go with a custom grind cam. So 190cc heads wont be overkill and I wont have PTV issues with stock cut pistons?
