    The aluminum block is not what is limiting the horsepower. It is internals. A stock aluminum block is good for more horsepower than you would be able to use on the street. The internals on the other hand... they will give out earlier.

    I think things will get better. I remember when the 03 cobra's came out everyone was super excited and people were only posting low 13's. Took a little bit of time before people started getting the times down. Example, guy at my local track back in 03 had his cobra there with 400 miles on it...

    That is exactly what I was getting at. Anyone can put a v6 badge on a v8... It is like that 03 cobra that had the bullitt C-pillar on one side, and the regular C-pillar on the other.

    Ford doesn't make any more money when the dealer jacks the price up... the dealer makes more money. Ford sells it to dealers at a lower price, the dealers then can try and sell it for whatever they want... if they want to put it at $500,000 they can. Ford doesn't see any extra money.
