    5.0 engine shakes real bad

    Motor mount??? I also had a wire on my regulator that was broken but would only break contact when the motor rocked with the cam lope at idle.

    Twin Eaton M90 Ranger

    Im doing the same thing with 2 m90s but they will be mounted on top of intake like the magnuson setup and a inverted v manifold with a single throttle body. The ranger is innovative but thats alot of piping! That turbo coupe has a nice setup but i dont want to make all that tubing and boxes...

    Fail 101

    Took me a bit to fiqure out what he did but im pretty sure he tryed to get the wheels spinning at first then hit the brakes while reving it to do a "brakestand", overpowered the clutch and finally stalled it when he let rpms drop. This is what i worry about when i bring my dd in for warranty...

    weird head bolt question

    Does it smell like coolant? Lower bolt holes need to be sealed and if not they can leak or if its a very small leak it can foam a little and thicken up. Just a guess though.

    Edelbrock "E" Streets, good for 400hp????

    One thing to add is Edelbrock estreet heads have helicoiled rockerstud holes and procomp doesnt, but if you cant go over 5500 rpm and .500 lift it doesnt matter! I've had press in studs with .501 lift and had no problems.

    I bought these heads a while ago and they looked ok. I did have to smooth out the ports and clean up a little flashing which didnt take that long. Biggest problem is the spings that come with. The ads say power from idle to 5500rpm and .550 max lift. What they dont mention is the spring are...

    Edelbrock quality?

    Thanks, it did only take 5 mins to clean them up. They are those etecs with 2.02 valves. I had to buy some stiffer springs after finding out that i couldnt rev the motor past 5500 rpm or the valves would float with the springs they included. Got some 130# seat pressure springs for 100 bucks so...

    Which Headers??? 66 5.0 AOD

    I just pulled on the headers while installed with a 2x4 in the collector and they moved enough to clear the pan with no probs. Its a lot easier to do when you have inexpensive headers because of the thin walls. Kinda redneck but it worked for me perfectly. Hope this helps.

    Edelbrock quality?

    I talked to a couple of friends with Chevs and they said the same thing. Really bad ports etc. I have had earlier heads from edelbrock and the stuff seemed fine. Anyhow seems like bad timing on edelbrock's part with all the offshore stuff now available which i almost bought(maybe i should have)...
