So Stumbaugh, you saying to go with a better kit like the Hellion? I can see where spending the extra money up front makes sense. What are some "Name Brand" waste gates and turbos? What typically comes with the Hellion kit and what upgrades are worth the money? thanks again for the help.

I own a 2002 Gt and wanted to look for a cheap way to replace the short block. Do the 05 and later factory short blocks come with an aluminum block and are they capable of handling more power than the 99-2004 short blocks (400 HP Limit)?

One other question. Did any of you guys buy an aftermarket rebuild kit, i.e. upgraded gears and synchros, and if so did it fix the problem?
